Electric Requiem 03-22-2007 11:29 PM

a shirt design I drew and inked for my school's environment club (which I am not affiliated with) to get credit for my journalism course
I think it turned out quite well

NP: The Roots- The Seed. ?uestlove is an absolute legend, the beat in this tune is solid.

GhostNote 03-23-2007 08:00 AM

As is every Roots tune, ?uestlove is an amazingly solid player, can't get enough!

the_pure_drummer 03-23-2007 09:38 AM

So, i was at youth club last nght talking to one of the people who run it about how im in a band and so on. He said it would be cool if we could come and play for all the youth clubs they run and also down th elocal leisure center in the summer when they run different things down there.

Were thinking of perfecting a few covers of some blink 182 and sum41 songs that poeple will know (in too deep, fat lip,all the small things, dammit and a few others).

What do you think we should prepare and how much do you think we will need to do to be able to play.

TimJim 03-23-2007 09:40 AM

u should do a few easy songs like some greenday

'sup baby?

*Check caller ID before you answer your phone like that, kids, trust me*

Jezen 03-23-2007 10:56 AM

Oh man, good news and bad news in the recording studio with Future Perfect.

Something happened to the computer so we lost two of our tracks, and now we gotta do them again. They were really great takes aswell, and the solos were sh!t hot. :(

The good news is the producer has been filming bits and pieces, and he's made a sort of documentary on us, and it looks really smooth. :)

It's a funny story.

I greeted everyone like that for like, a month. But I was home one day, and I heard the phone ring. "Sup baby?" VINCE?!?" "Dad?"...."crap"

Jezen 03-23-2007 11:49 AM

Oh right haha like that Bridget Jones moment.

Retarded Chipple 03-23-2007 12:19 PM

Reminds me of a time my friend was completely smashed at a party. His dad called, and for some reason he thought it was his girlfriend, so he's going on and on about how he loves her and wants to have sex with her, etc.

I figured it was his girlfriend he was talking to for a while, until I could hear his dad yelling through the phone.

 That's just a small part of what happened that night. Quite eventful definately. And just real real odd.

TimJim 03-23-2007 12:38 PM

Quick!while im on lunch!

waz up?!

TimJim 03-23-2007 01:01 PM

ur always on lunch

Win A Rabbit 03-23-2007 01:03 PM

From Mikael Åkerfeldt:

"Next Opeth LP: I'm writing and it's going quite well. I have around a dozen of song ideas. Some are downright evil sounding....a few Bathory (evil era '83-'87) parts, some tech-death ones, some overblown prog ballad ones, one Nick Drake thing, one complete prog thing with triple harmony vocals, one evocative Middle Eastern psychedelic metal arrangement with falsetto vocals (not as wimpy sounding as you might think), one '70s Scorpions sounding bit (like 'Living and Dying' type of stuff), one's totally murky forest-ish sounding dark prog-rock with loud vocals that shifts between major and minor, one tedious ugly/pretty little hobbit sounding symf part with moogs over a classical guitar, some soundtrack-ish sounding ones etc...

Yes, it's business as usual...."

 So modest.

TimJim 03-23-2007 01:04 PM
