Yeah, we did it when we were forced to go to those lame elementary school dances. My friends and I thought we were cool.

I guess we were back then 'cuz everyone liked it and thought it was funny...
My friends and I performed Makes No Difference live once and did the little dance thing and alot of people liked it way more than we thought they would, that was a good show too

I tried to do that, but my guitarest is way to unco to play and 'dance' at the same time.
Don't get me wrong, he's an awsome guitarest, but not much of a dancer, haha.

well it's not even really a dance it's just kind of a 'movement segment' if you will, and it wasn't hard for us at all, we just kind of did it...it was fun
I wouldn't say I'm a true Sum 41 fan but I have "All Killer, No Filler" and "Does This Look Infected?" and I really like those albums.
Sum 41 are awesome, one of the reasons that got me into Punk Rock. I hope their new cd is like the old ones like they said.

Same, except GC came right before them.

Then blink, and so on.

symmetrix 01-20-2007 12:18 AM

Does anyone else think 'AKNF' owns the newer albums ?

lunchforthesky 01-21-2007 06:16 AM

Does anyone not think that?

TheBassicBassist 01-22-2007 03:49 PM
Does anyone not think that?
I don't think that, all of their albums are masterpieces completely, I hope they can keep it up forever

lunchforthesky 01-22-2007 04:45 PM

Fanboy alert.
Fanboy alert.
what the hell gave it away

EDIT: I don't actually want an answer I'm just stating...duh

MattSharpIsCool 01-23-2007 10:41 PM

Me and my old band were gonna do the little dance thing from Makes No Difference, but once we started playing shows, we were definitely too cool.

I havent listened to Sum 41 in FOREVER. Seriously, it's been a year or two. I really need to find my CD's and give them a listen.

TheBassicBassist 01-24-2007 02:44 PM

The Operations cd will be out Feb. 20th for those who don't know (Steve is also kind of an undisclosed member of the band), oh and the first episode of Road to Ruin is on Sum 41's myspace...it's kind of gay and they have alot of vids on it that we've all seen before but it's interesting nonetheless, so go check it out

EDIT: Yeah...I'm pretty much 100% sure that Stevo is directing the music video for Sayonara by Operation...go steve

Mute Print 03-31-2007 10:38 AM

Bump for Greg.

nobodyblossomsforever 03-31-2007 10:39 AM

Thanks Brian. Now all discussion about them going on in the Community Thread can continue here.

Grohlthegreat 03-31-2007 10:40 AM

oic.

Sum 41, good, yes.

nobodyblossomsforever 03-31-2007 10:45 AM

I can't wait to hear their new single, better yet, their new album. I thought Sum 41 was going to be dead forever but apparently those sneaky little devils are making a comeback. It'll be interesting to hear them without Dave.

poo-poo-pee-pee 04-01-2007 01:54 AM

I think I'll actually prefer the new Sum 41.
Deryck said they're going back to a more pop-punk 90's sorta sound.
Which will be refreshing from the annoying 'emo' shỉt nowadays.
(I know it's not emo, plase don't slam with with that bullshỉt, but it's the easiest way to descibe it, you all know what I mean.)
Obviously there wont be any insane solo's, or over technical guitaring, but that's not why I listen to Sum 41.
The just make some feckin' good music.
Anyways, the point of this clumsy ramble was:
I'm looking forward to new Sum Fartie One. :thumb:

nobodyblossomsforever 04-01-2007 08:17 AM

I wish they'd fuggin' tell us when their new hit single is going to be released.

Cygnus Inter Anates 04-01-2007 10:06 AM

I'm watching the video for fat lip atm

such a good song tbh

nobodyblossomsforever 04-01-2007 10:14 AM

I like the music video for "The Hell Song" the best. :thumb:

When did they ever die, and how can they make a comback without ever going anywhere first?

nobodyblossomsforever 04-01-2007 01:15 PM

Well, maybe "die" was the wrong word to use, but they've been kinda silent. I remember they use to be pretty mainstream.

TheBassicBassist 04-01-2007 01:17 PM
Well, maybe "die" was the wrong word to use, but they've been kinda silent. I remember they use to be pretty mainstream.
are you talking about the break they're taking or the fact that they aren't on the radio as much as they were during the Fat Lip/In Too Deep days

nobodyblossomsforever 04-01-2007 01:22 PM

Both. They haven't died, but they haven't been doing as much. When I said they use to be pretty mainstream I was saying that in response to your "and how can they make a comeback without ever going anywhere first?"

Cygnus Inter Anates 04-01-2007 06:08 PM

sum41 suck baaaaaaaawls

DJ Ducksauce 04-01-2007 07:38 PM

No.

And yeah, the last time Sum 41 was in the news was when Deryck and Avril got married.

poo-poo-pee-pee 04-17-2007 08:44 PM
hey everyone. we've released a new song off of the album on itunes and other digital stores today. it's called "March of the dogs". lyrically it's one of the more political songs that are on the album, following in the style of our songs "still waiting" and we"re all to blame". i wanted to let you all know that this will NOT be a political record. this is just one of our favorite songs on the album so we wanted to give you it to you early since the record won't be out until the summer.
go check it out.
enjoy!!

I'm not a fan boy, but the bolded part it correct. They do have SOME metal influences, but they have never, and will never be metal band. They are a great pop-punk band, you may even go as far as rock. But sure as hell not metal. And that "follow in metallicas footsteps" is bullpoopie. :thumb:
