The song makes New Mexico sound a lot cooler than I'm sure it is.
Yeah....you're right :upset: :upset:

Deth 03-14-2005 08:21 PM

I really want to see the Hanger 18 video again, it's been a while.

FlyingPaul_83 03-14-2005 08:25 PM

Download it

Deth 03-14-2005 08:31 PM

I will consider it.

On the video note, Anarchy in the UK is probably one of the crappiest videos I have ever witnessed. Why make Anarchy a single?

FlyingPaul_83 03-14-2005 08:40 PM

Never heard it? I just talked to you at the Official iron maiden thread

Deth 03-14-2005 08:43 PM

Never heard what? Yeah, we're having a cross-thread conversation here.

FlyingPaul_83 03-14-2005 08:44 PM

Anarchy in the U.K.
who plays it?

Po0osH 03-14-2005 08:45 PM

The Sex Pistols right?

Deth 03-14-2005 08:46 PM

Correct.

Freezing Moon 03-14-2005 10:54 PM

I like all of Megadeth's covers. Hidden Treasures was the first album I bought by them, because it was the only one the local store had at the time.

MAthiAS 03-15-2005 12:53 AM

Ok.

Arise II 03-15-2005 05:31 AM

I really don't get why so many people bash Megadeth's cover of "Anarchy In The UK". Personally, I think its superior to the original in every way
Those kids are actually Dave's kids :x

BTW, the music at the beginning of the H18 vid is Dawn Patrol, it's the old version with the guitar off the original RiP
Dave has kids? :amaze:

Lord Abortion 03-15-2005 06:59 AM

I think they will encore with anarchy on their last gig in england at download...

metal guitar III 03-15-2005 11:18 AM

Hopefully, I will be at that gig.

Deth 03-15-2005 01:40 PM

I don't think they'll play that song at all. This will have to be a best of gig to close off their UK dates.

MAthiAS 03-15-2005 02:12 PM

It'd be cool if they did play it though. Kind of fitting.
Dave has kids?
Well, he's married, so I'm not too surprised.

Deth 03-15-2005 02:39 PM

Me either. He's in his forties.

btoto 03-15-2005 04:06 PM

I think their best cover is Nansy's These Boots.
Plus, Chris plays his $exiest solos ever ! :naughty:

Arise II 03-15-2005 04:43 PM

^^^ Teh 123'z

metallicadrummer123 03-15-2005 04:46 PM

Yeah you gotta love that cover. I just wish it didn't bleep out half the song on the remastered version of KIMB.

btoto 03-15-2005 05:03 PM

well, the version on the remastered KIMB is a bit annoying, but I kind of got used to it.

acefrehleyjendell 03-15-2005 06:07 PM

what the hell is happening with the sydney show?
megadeth.com lists it as all ages, yet ticketek.com lists it as 18+.

someone tell me megadeth.com is correct. :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset: :upset:

I guess Mustaine changed his idea...

It's got sod all to do with the artist! I don't know how many times I've said this. The venue owners decide what the age range is on it, not the band.

Lord Abortion 03-16-2005 06:49 AM

a best of gig setlist from all you droogies please!
with encores labled and songs in order of playing
if it is a best of gig at download what would you like to see?

xoric 03-16-2005 09:37 AM

went to see um at the academy when they were in the UK and they were ****ING AWESOME. they definatly still have it, i got the set list and times sheet - YAYness - seeing them with marty woulda rocked hard but they too awesome for it too really matter

the call at the end for holy wars was intense - which made it 20 times better when they just came back and went into it

<3 megadeth

Chris plays a great solo on Good Morning /Black Friday, in the Black Friday part of the song.

Yeah, I know. Peace Sells is my favourite album. However I thought Poland played the long solo in the begining too. But then I bought the album, and on booklet it says Dave. Also, almost 95% of Wake Up Dead was Dave and first solo on Devil's Island. I didn't know Dave can compose nice melodic solos (besides playing fast up and down the fretboard).

BTW, I just finished downloading The Conjuring live video from Roskilde festival(Denmark) 1992. It's great.

Has anyone ever seen videos with Gar and Chris??? I've never seen anything Megadeth from 80's :upset:

metal guitar III 03-16-2005 02:09 PM

I actually meant the fast solo
Nor have I seen any 80s 'Deth...but there must be some footage out there somewhere

I know that you meant the last solo :) :upset:

Oh too bad you also haven't seen any. Right now I'm downloading whole Megadeth concert from Italy 1992 (150 MGB - 40 minutes)

There's also a concert from Germany 1988 but it's 450 MGB so I pass......anyone with good connection should download that. Because if it's really 1988, I guess you'll see Jeff Young and Chuck Behler.

Limewire pwns !

They made videos for both Wake Up Dead and Peace Sells, aren't they in those?

btoto 03-16-2005 02:39 PM

I meant live

acefrehleyjendell 03-16-2005 04:40 PM

Direct link to a Dave interview (audio) from about september.

Mechanix or Four Horsemen?

ThrashMaster27 03-16-2005 09:55 PM

It'll be Mechanix. I don't recall Dave ever playing The Four Horsemen live, although as usual, I'll probably be wrong. I know he wrote the new parts to it and most of the new lyrics, but I've never seen him play it live.

vashts80 03-17-2005 12:21 AM

I've gotten several boots off P2P

Metallica w/ Dave on Mar 3, 83
Megadeth in Philly, Nov 12, 04
Megadeth in England in 90 sometime
Megadeth in a club in 86

I love P2P
