You're about as good at noticing sarcasm as Matt Heafy is at singing :smash:
Ouch... That hurts.

you know thats funny tho:naughty:

Rattlehead 04-23-2006 08:17 AM

i love matts vocals its just a shame he'll have to change them in order to carry on with them.

SimonCore 04-23-2006 12:21 PM

I think they can make a really good album with his new vocals.

Rattlehead 04-25-2006 04:16 PM

yeah, so long as matt doesn't go too whiney, like, as i think i have already said, he does in Declaration: "...bear witness to me" all though he uses some cool gritty vocals in that song.

Crysiss 04-25-2006 05:27 PM

I enjoy Matts clean voice sometimes.

And whiney? Reminds of some of a7xs vocals.

"I cant trust anyone" I hate when the singer does that part(A7X)

toolfreak 04-25-2006 11:47 PM

Hey i was on trivium.org message board and apparently paolo has said hes doing bass solos be good to hear:D

Rattlehead 04-25-2006 11:57 PM

nice one, hopefully the songs will have more bass to them now.

Drunken Viking 04-26-2006 12:29 AM

I bet that the rhythm guitar is louder then the bass during the solo's.

Dude, that sounds freaking sweet

i am the robots 04-27-2006 09:05 AM

Are you serious? They're gonna let the bass do something now? Awesome!

evilkow 04-27-2006 09:25 AM

Everything i've heard by this band sounds way too mechanical and generic.
i don't understand why they are so popular on here at all.

breadbin 04-27-2006 09:38 AM

nah i think that if trivum sing, rather than scream, they would be so much bigger and more popular.

jb_203 04-27-2006 10:25 AM

There a awesome band, band has a lot of talent for their age. Their soloing is the best part i think, I havent heard as technical solos in a long time. But then again my metal is just expanding now, so im not very experienced with the ear but Im getting a hang of it. Im excited for there new cd this year, when they say there gonna make it alot more techinical, faster and bring in a 7 string guitar for some songs, gets me looking forward to it. Should be a step up some ascendancy, which to me would be hard to do, but if they can, and get good reviews, congrats to them

Mechanical? I understand the generic part, but I don't see how they sound mechanical...

There only problem is Heafy's vocals and the hilarity of their crappiness.

I seriously cannot comprehend what posesses him to 'scream' like that... he has quite possibly the worst technique I've ever heard of, granted he had no training, but neither did Jesse Leach or Anders Friden.

panthersfan16 04-27-2006 02:20 PM

Hey does anyone know what Trivium's rig or setup is for the rhythm guitar? I googled it but could only find info on the bass. My bands doing a cover of Like Light to Flies and I was just trying to figure out how to get a better tone for the song

SimonCore 04-27-2006 02:53 PM

I wanna cover LLTF. But the solo is thwarting my ambitions:angry:

I have been listening to Trivium since I first heard their EP for Ember to Inferno, but it wasnt until a few days ago that they started to grow on me.

The drum's are so obviously programmed. the guitars are good, but the double bass is horrible.

Rattlehead 04-28-2006 11:57 AM

what do you mean by programmed. im not familiar. you can't possibly mean electronically made, and that's what springs to mind when you say that. -?

and wtf his double-bass owns:smoke:

*IMO

man, that's bad... he might not have much technique but damn it sounds good. i really like it.

and their crappiness?? explain, if you will.

panthersfan16 04-28-2006 01:55 PM

Thats cool but does anyone know how they get their guitar sound?

Programmed is when the Drums is done on computer.

Chill out SimonCore :)

The drums and bass are from a Guitar Pro file. I just muted out the guitars. I'll be damned if I'm going to sit there and program drums and bass myself!

I complemented the guitars. Just the drums really were disgracefull, even if it was a guitar pro file.

Crysiss 04-28-2006 04:38 PM

I did a cover with midi drums. It sounds horrible. Even my singing is horrible.

<---Not a singer

I was going to cover Rain, But I didnt feel like learning the solo at the time.

jdw2 04-28-2006 06:44 PM

Post your cover Crysiss :) . Its fun to hear other peoples recordings. I was thinking about doing Rain also. That song would be a pain to record. Those triplets kill my wrist. The solo is nice and easy for that song though, so I would actually be able to record the WHOLE song this time :p !

What exactly is guitar pro? It seems to me from what you've said it's like an editing/recording program.
