Dead Star 06-22-2006 04:50 PM

Hamm and Claypool have been in the bass forum?

Whoa.

nobodyblossomsforever 06-22-2006 05:37 PM

They've posted in the Bass Forum before???

When did that happen?

Thread link!!!

Pazz 06-22-2006 07:34 PM

Guys, we had Mark Hoppus, remember?

Bad Blood 06-23-2006 06:39 AM

Are you joking when you sat Wooten has been in? :amaze:

Gnarmageddon 06-23-2006 07:27 AM

Why do we need a famous person? Just curious.

Dead Star 06-23-2006 09:53 AM

The question is why not?

And Ben, nope.

PDWAB 06-23-2006 12:14 PM
Hey Brian/Joel

I was looking through the mod forum, and the idea of getting someone famous on the board, and asking them questions came up, so I was wondering if it would be at all feasable to do it in here?

If not, oh well, I'll look retarded :)

-J
Why were you looking through the mod forum?

If you can get famous pop-punk people to post here, then I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't say yes!

Firecracker 06-23-2006 02:25 PM

Hamm is a legend of a bassist.

Kif 06-23-2006 02:47 PM

Hey everyone. I'm looking to restart the recommendations thread, but this time I'd like to have a few more people who will recommend bands on a weekly basis. I'm not starting a thread yet or anything because if this fails miserably like my last 2 threads, then it will be pretty pointless. I'm just wondering if anyone would want to contribute recommendations every week?

Mute Print 06-23-2006 02:49 PM

Sounds good by me Kif. :)

I'd definitely contribute each week. I have a bunch of bands to recommend, but I've been to lazy to actually make an entire thread on any one of them.

By the way, what was that awesome thread you kept saying you were going to make? Or was that one of the ones that failed?

Kif 06-23-2006 02:51 PM

Haha oh I will never make it, but basically I was trying to make every smiley on MX using Gerard Way's face from videos of My Chemical Romance. I had like 10 on my old computer, but I've got no image software on this Mac so it's been put off.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-23-2006 02:53 PM

I'll reccomend when i can mate.

Hahaha, that would have been awesome.
Why were you looking through the mod forum?
Because I haxx.

I meant Site :upset:

DJ Ducksauce 06-23-2006 04:57 PM

I saw that Lawsong thread in bass. It was pretty neat to have an actual well know musician on the board.

Who would we get though?

Kif 06-23-2006 05:32 PM

Straight from the horse's mouth; J has hax

I petition J's avatar be changed to Goatse stat, pronto, tonight.

Surtr 06-23-2006 06:02 PM

Justin: No idea..

Kif: :p I'll second that.

Kif 06-24-2006 01:35 PM

So who else would be up for contributing weekly recommendations if they were brought back? They don't have to be like completely unknown and local bands if you have trouble looking for them. A

Angry Balled Fists! 06-24-2006 01:36 PM

Yes i will do my best.

(kif; could you send me the rest of that album plz)

Angry Balled Fists! 06-25-2006 03:33 AM

I've got a question mods; how come the old community thread/s don't get deleted ?
In many other forums they do and it discourages spam because people will lose a ton of posts ?
If the old one got deleted and i dunno twce a year the CT gets deleted maybe the forum won't be so centred on it.

Bad Blood 06-25-2006 03:56 AM
And Ben, nope.

Wooten = leg-end.

But...But Dan. You'll lose probably 5,000 or more of your precious posts.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-25-2006 10:05 AM

Er yeah I know, i'm not bothered.

Mute Print 06-25-2006 11:35 AM

I don't really see any need to delete the old community threads, because I don't think anything would change. The forum would still run exactly the same, except people would lose a few hundred posts every so often.

nobodyblossomsforever 06-25-2006 11:49 AM

They did that in the Bass Forum. It still mainly revolves around the Casual anyway so it won't change anything. Nobody cares about postcount anyway.

bottlerocket 06-25-2006 05:45 PM

We don't delete the bass forum casual threads. We lock them and let them float around into the archives.

Or more like 6000 in mine and Vince's case.

Mute Print 06-25-2006 08:46 PM

ATTN: Mattay

adarkform 06-25-2006 08:51 PM
