I was going to buy an Alkaline Trio t-shirt. I'm suppost to get $50 from my mom for deliveringflyers for her business and I get an extra $25 if she gets 2 clients. I told I was going to get a t-shirt and a CD and she suggested I payed her the $100 back that she payed for my iPod which would be my birthday present. So, my dreams of getting an Alkaline Trio t-shirt will have to wait until I have more money.

I made my own with a stencil. Its not the best, but will have to suffice for now.

I just heard their cover of Halloween (originally by The Misfits). Kinda weird, a little boring, not as good as the original. AFI's cover was much better.

i LOVE the alk3 version, but i love the sound of grand piano too...i think it adds a nice touch and gives it a darker sound than the original...afi's version is cool too but i still think the original is the best (kinda like Heaven by the Psychadelic Furs, but i don't like their version or Alk3's...the original is better though if i had to pick)

WHAT? I'm sorry, but AFI's cover was EXACTLY the same as the Misfits version. It was lacking any creative input what so ever. The Alkaline Trio slowed it down and made it creepy. The best way to cover a song is to change it.

If a band covers a song, it makes it better when they make it their 'own'.
There's not much point in covering a song to sound exactly like the original is there? It's just like 1 song.. twice!

thats what i tried to tell the guys in the last band i was in trying to convince them to do a cover or 2 cuz nobody knew us at all...and we sucked after our first practice...weird how ur first practice can be ur best right? still never did any covers :(

AFI's version isn't exactly the same, like all Misfits covers, they un-Misfitsed it, and they made it alot faster, and added in a few backing vocals here and there.

Yeah, but the Alkaline Trio slowed it waaaay down, they changed the entire song far more than AFI did. Don't get me wrong, I love AFI, and Davey's vocals suit the song, but I just prefer the Trio version.

Yeah A3's version kicked AFI's arse. big time.

Oh yeah, the Trio version is far superior. I love the piano in it. I also have a Dropkick Murphys version which sounds like the other two, not even any bagpipes! Oh look, it's the Oz dude with the coolest name ever from MySpace!
