Kicking Horse on Broken Hill.
That's my personal favourite, but I've heard limited Godspeed material. |
That's funny, I just stumbled out of the pub.
And it's 4.15 in the afternoon here. Should I be worried?
Ripper. Give me 2 more weeks and that'll be me. Holy crap I cannot wait!!! |
So guys, what would be the best Godspeed You Black Emperor song to check out, if you've never heard them before and wants to get a good first impression? The ultimate get-into-the-band-song?
East Hastings is the most accessible song i think to start with, it has the right highs and the right lows to really get someone interested in this band. After that you be the judge if you want to continue listening to a great band. |
Gah, a mountain of schoolwork to be done
*plays Kid A* |
I have the first of my 3 final ever exams tomorrow.
*Starts to freak... puts Tago Mago on and drops out* |
wouldnt it be great if you could have your music playing while you took the exams.
|
Yeah, that'd be too good.
I'd put Emergency & I on, so I'll be excited to do the work and I'll go really fast. Oranges. |
You want to be studying music. :smoke:
ungodly so, but its hard to break into that field. |
I'm doing Film,Television and Media next year at University for anyone that's interested.
|
Hey, I'm doing Media, Communications, and Culture! With Music, of course.
|
~blinks~ you're that old? I'd always seen you as being about 16 myself... dunno why.
EDIT: To Tangy |
They have TV in New Zealand?
|
ungodly so, but its hard to break into that field.
Whereabouts are you from? I kinda got an easy pass - since my Music teacher actually runs an exam board, I struck a deal with him that if I displayed the right level of enthusiasm, and went and basically memorized one of his books in 2 months, he'd let me on the course. It was hard work learning it all from scratch, but not as hard as it could have been. |
They have TV in New Zealand?
 That's 'refl', or 'zing!', to pit dwellers. |

EDIT: To Tangy
16? Odd age. I'm 17. Booyah. |
Oh how I want to study music :upset:
How old are you? It's never too late, you know. Do self-studies or something. Darn, I think I'm staying up 'till 11. Anthropology class is sssoooo frustrating
That's 'refl', or 'zing!', to pit dwellers.
Americans ... |
I'm still in highschool, but the music program isn't geared towards what I want to learn. There is nothing for guitars, whatsoever.
|
I thought you lived in Canada:confused: Nothing for guitars??
|
I do live in Canada. They took out the guitar class because all of the "cool" rocker kids would take it just so they could walk around school with a guitar, and were horrible and had no ambition to learn resulting in them not even being able to read tab, causing the school to cut the program due to uselessness. :upset:

Major suckage. I was actually surprised that there's a course here for guitar:p |
