carbombsandconversations 08-04-2008 06:10 PM

lamb of god
Let's curb this deathcore discussion by talking about the new Father Befouled - which just arrived today - and crushes 99% of nowadays DM
listening to their myspace stuff right now, very good though I'm not fond of the snare tone to be very picky

I'll most certainly be checking out the album, ty for namedropping

masscows 08-04-2008 06:13 PM

while dodging muslim car bombs and avoiding conversation with them

carbombsandconversations 08-04-2008 06:14 PM

i dont know where to find the mp3 version of the album

after listening to it the only problem i really have with it is:
sounds like they are too wary of sounding like another incantation clone, and they go to too many lengths to avoid that and sound unique which results every now and again in a really awkward riff

masscows 08-04-2008 06:48 PM

I'll see if I can order it somewhere in the next few days, preferably directly from the band

Malfeitor 08-04-2008 06:59 PM

if you go to the band they will probably just redirect you to gasmask-productions (which is where i got it from)

if its on nuclear war now! though I would advise getting it from there. gasmask-productions don't know how to ****ing pack. just ordered three cds, all covers are cracked, and one cd the cover is snapped

rasputin 08-04-2008 08:17 PM
just ordered three cds, all covers are cracked, and one cd the cover is snapped
I hate it when **** like that happens

beans 08-04-2008 08:21 PM

thats why i dont order albums over the internet
unless i absolutely cannot get it anywhere else
which doesnt happen often

rasputin 08-04-2008 08:24 PM

Living in Australia, we don't get much choice :P
I could probably order some of the stuff I buy online from record stores, but they'd charge me a hell of a price for it.

beans 08-04-2008 08:25 PM

yeah they do, imported albums are upwards of 30 bucks at best

rasputin 08-04-2008 08:27 PM

yeah, dirty thieving bastards.
What'd you think of the Phalanx album, pros/cons?

beans 08-04-2008 08:36 PM

i really like it the one thing that really hit me about the album is that there isnt one weak track on the entire thing, each song really stands out for its own reasons.
and i really like the varying vocals over the course of the album.
altogether i've only listened to it about 2 times and my rating is likely to go higher but so far im very impressed
good **** yo

Malfeitor 08-04-2008 09:39 PM

NWN! is very good packaging, no chance of any covers cracking or snapping. Gasmask is the first time I've had all covers damaged, most of the time from other distros it is one's damaged and the rest are fine

Thor 08-04-2008 09:46 PM

just saying, the new bloodbath EP is still awesome

Motown 08-04-2008 09:47 PM

Thor 08-04-2008 09:48 PM

publicastration 08-04-2008 10:47 PM

Nepenthe 08-04-2008 10:50 PM

That was incredible.

Slapping Penguin 08-05-2008 11:01 AM

^^^ lol nice

Mind you, after seeing him in the photo album he is hardly a character you wouldnt notice walking done the street.

Not that its really that important but still I am curious for those more knowledgable and interested, is Necrophagist ever coming back? Not that I really want or need another album from them, I am just wondering as they got so huge so quickly and now nothing new is to be heard from.

I have a real soft spot for Spawn of Possession, anyone else excited about the prospect of another album from them.

repcak 08-05-2008 11:05 AM

Yes there will be another Suicmez album later this year.

Tyler 08-05-2008 11:05 AM

Necrophagist is allegedly coming out with a third album, yeah. But they're busy touring and I think Muhammed was working on his masters or something. But they recently announced their drummer (some tool not named Marco Minneman) and as far as I know the album is all but confirmed.

Thor 08-05-2008 11:06 AM

I sure hope so. They tour constantly, so I wouldn't worry about them going away.

Minneman was so mother****ing good. I'll miss him.

Slapping Penguin 08-05-2008 11:14 AM

Why did he leave? Didn't he do some recording with them?

...am I the only SoP fan :(
