Why do you have to wait til your third year of college to study what you want?

illmitch 11-29-2010 01:22 AM

he means when he wont have gen eds

Angmar 11-29-2010 01:26 AM

I guess, but you can still take gen ed classes that pertain to your interests.

Like we don't have a minimum math requirement, credits have a category and each category has a pretty wide variety of subjects you can take.

illmitch 11-29-2010 01:30 AM

there's no math requirement at all for anybody? that's interesting

whiteminority 11-29-2010 01:31 AM
that double shot sounds satan as fuck dude
coincidentally satan showed me this drink one night in the mountains of Appalachia.

for those who can't handle the manliness of Jack, a quick replacement would be Bailey's.

Kill Everything V2 11-29-2010 01:32 AM

not having a math requirement of any sort is a sure sign of a shitty subject

whiteminority 11-29-2010 01:33 AM

Not necessarily.
there's no math requirement at all for anybody? that's interesting
Yeah here at UT, we have Quanitative Reasoning, and there is like 3 non-math classes you can take to satisfy it 1/2 of the requirement but those non-math classes are Computer Science, and then a music major specific course.

Kill Everything V2 11-29-2010 01:35 AM

compsci is mathlike enough

illmitch 11-29-2010 01:35 AM

sounds basically like what we have at KU, different terms and w/e but same basic format

Angmar 11-29-2010 01:36 AM
oh i thought you meant for EVERYbody
Well each major has it's own set of required classes, like to graduate there are several majors that don't require math courses but obviously if you're in engineering or something your course load will be math heavy.

illmitch 11-29-2010 01:48 AM

here it's just different colleges

everybody in the school of liberal arts has a set of reqs, everybody in the school of journalism has a set of reqs, etc

whiteminority 11-29-2010 01:50 AM

Sounds similar here, but the University also has broad based requirements that everyone must take. Basically English composition, at least one natural science, and at least one course labeled as Cultures and Civilizations which is proficiency at the intermediate level of a foreign language for every college except Engineering.

SwagChef 11-29-2010 02:07 AM

just gonna lay it all on the line with this girl and see what the fuck happens. feelin pr based
