Final Fantasy thread peer pressure

dUSK 08-11-2005 07:35 AM

I didn't think I'd ever live to see the day when people apologized for not posting...

That cover is rather awesome, I just listened. Who was in the final line-up for it? Moses, I like your louder vocals compared to the softer intro etc. I think you sounded a little hesitant there or something, but otherwise great job. You improved as they song progressed.
My favourite Tool filler song is Eon Blue Apocalypse.
I also like this filler, but it sounds even better when you put it before pu**** live* instead of the patient.

Syncratic 08-11-2005 12:29 PM

My favorite filler Tool songs are:

Eon Blue Apocalypse
Message to Harry Manback
Faaip de Oiad.

TheSubtleArts 08-11-2005 12:29 PM

Eon Blue Apocalypse is also my favorite Tool filler. i like (-)ions and Falip de Oidad too.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-11-2005 12:33 PM

Gmac, the 46&2 cover was r0und3r on guitar and bass, and his brother Matter did the drums. Obviously, Moses did the vox.

I couldn't get a good posture. My mic chord is too short so I was sitting therefor forcing me to sing through my throat instead of my gut. I need to redo it obviously.

I was actually redoing Lateralus today but then my mom came home.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-11-2005 12:41 PM

Moses- I'm listening to This Godless Endeavor, and it owns. :-D Glad I took the hour to download it. The guitar parts, minus the shredding, sounds a helluva lot like the guitarwork that my friend uses in his music. Does Loomis play a 7 string?

Moses 08-11-2005 12:45 PM

Yeah they play seven-strings. Also all the songs on the album are just as good if not better than the title track.

I still can't pick a favorite but Born and My Acid Words are the ones I listen to most.

NP: Born

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-11-2005 12:51 PM

I'll download them both and decide for you.

Moses 08-11-2005 12:54 PM

The solo to The Final Product is godly. I'm going to learn that.

fallen_angel2121 08-11-2005 01:05 PM

Hi guys,

Any news on when the new album is out? I'll probably keep popping my head in every few weeks to check as I heard it was supposed to be out earlier this year, bt I've heard nothing...

Fallen Angel

Kage 08-11-2005 01:09 PM

When there's an official release date...you'll know. Until then, all of us are in the dark.

disposition 08-11-2005 01:12 PM

what do you guys use to record your music? do you use those home studio devices, or some sort of pc program?

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-11-2005 01:32 PM

Most of us use computer microphones and Audacity.

Where's the love for Intermission? You just gotta love it.

denboy 08-11-2005 01:46 PM

I don't see intermission as filler.. .. Well.. Sort of.. But it still rocks

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-11-2005 01:47 PM

Intermission is an awesome track. Me and my friend always drive around town with it on full blast, just to freak people out. it's quite the tactic.

JimbobTheSquirrel 08-11-2005 01:49 PM

 That sounds funny...
I don't see intermission as filler.. .. Well.. Sort of.. But it still rocks
Yeah, it's filler, but that doesn't stop it rocking! It's better than Jimmy.

denboy 08-11-2005 01:50 PM

Sounds like a hoot /bill hicks voice

What happened to sonorkens singer? Was he ever gonna sing on some of the covers?

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-11-2005 01:56 PM

He's not been back since that one night he was posting. :-/ I'll ask Ken if I see him on AIM.

Nerium 08-11-2005 02:28 PM

:\ I want the New ****ing Album.. GRRRR WHEN DOES IT COME, I heard sometime in january..

Darkness 08-11-2005 02:29 PM
It's better than Jimmy.
I agree... Jimmys a weak track... Its still good though.

disposition 08-11-2005 02:36 PM

I actually think jimmy is one of their best songs! i love the part when maynard sings "under a dead ohio sky..." its just my opinion though

TheSubtleArts 08-11-2005 03:02 PM

i like Jimmy

Rothmans 08-11-2005 03:05 PM

I love jimmy.

How can you not love "Im Heading Back hoooOOoooOoooOoOOme"?

Kage 08-11-2005 03:38 PM
I love jimmy.

Quoted for absolute truth.

Adam Jones is GOD 08-11-2005 03:41 PM

I cant take Jimmy and H in the same sitting. Its either one or the other. thats why its useful there's a few tracks between the two.

dUSK 08-11-2005 03:43 PM
I couldn't get a good posture. My mic chord is too short so I was sitting therefor forcing me to sing through my throat instead of my gut. I need to redo it obviously.

That would be the reason then, I thought something sounded funny. I'll look foward to hearing you at your full potential :thumb:

Kage 08-11-2005 03:43 PM

Hmm...it's odd, because Jimmy and H are probably the two songs I'd single out to listen to from Aenima right now. Although I prefer to listen to the whole album anyway.
