I'm not sure what the cheapest place is, sorry. You can try searching web sites like ticket master and check with the place they are playing at and compare prices.

Its not a made up genre. So many bands fall into the spectrum that you have to call them the new wave of metal. They are NO WAY NEAR thrash, NO WAY NEAR metal, and NO WAY NEAR anything worth listening too.
