and you believe the psychological conditioned college of the U.S.B is the way to go?
you really don't need that crap "just" to make a difference in this world. go pick up garbage in the streets. that'll make a difference, AND save you $$$.
No, I know the way I want to bring change requires upper level knowledge that requires a few years at school. I pick up garbage when I see it and toss it in the next trash can but I know that's not enough cans in the street is a far more cosmetic problem than it is an environment rattling condition. Going to school and understanding energy creating processes and applying that knowledge into research and application of alternative fuel sources IS something that will cause change, I probaly won't do anything that will benefit in my lifetime but I might notice something that someone later might be able to apply that will cause a change, and to me that is far more satisfying/important than doing what a bunch of teenage "punks" zonked out on cheap drugs think is punk. |
Truest thing ever said on this forum.
Ever. OK not really but it's still really true. I'd agree with you 100% there. So I'm not going to be on at all tomorrow any time past 6 because I'll probably too drunk and/or stoned to make a coherent post, since I'll be celebrating my birthday and everything. THAT should be interesting...
Happy 19th Gavkins. |

yes, I see your point. but you really don't need college for that. there are numerous of scientists and theoretics (I have no idea if that's actually a word, I'm not a native Englishman) who didn't go to college. most of them just have a brilliant IQ. and combining that with (the right ammount) of drugs, such as meth and marijuana (depends on the situation), has proven to be much more efficient than a college education. you DO of course need to hold some knowledge, but you can obtain knowledge through books, the internet, mentors or whatever. you don't actually need some state institution to "teach" you knowledge. |
Thanks, Ben. =*
ROFL BEN I REALLY THINK WHEN YOU GO COLLEGE HUNTING YOU SHOULD GO TO BOSTON AND CHECK OUT SCHOOLS HERE! |

If you can point to me a single modern day (within the last 50 years) scientist/engineer who taught themselves everything they know with a combination of drugs I will be astounded, computers not included since my friend Jesse can build and program a computer on his own with no help. There is also the whole college experience which is something I look forward to, on top of the fact it gives me a couple years to get acquainted with adulthood. |

This is the dumbest thing anyone has ever said. You don't need a college education to be a scientist, you just need to take meth. The fact is college is a personal choice and you shouldn't judge someone for their own personal choices. |
I think he means to say you don't need college to make a difference in the world.
Take, for example: <---- I know what he's saying but that's just an awful example, haha. I agree that it's a personal choice, though, so you shouldn't judge someone based on that... |
I'm completely supportive of the decision to not go to college.
But really there is no way it'll be a negative as long as you can take it seriously. |
brb going to cook up some meth and get my nobel prize
|
^
*shoots up heroin* I FOUND A CURE FOR THE COMMON COLD! |
woah dude
i found that too when i shot up but i think i pawned it |
Oh, no way, man. No way.
I'll get me some K-pin and start working on effective ways to re-use nuclear waste. |
you guyz need to kook up sum kokane wif baking soda in it and sell it
|
uhm. yeah. you're purposely neglecting ca. half of what I wrote. so yeah. good luck with college. make your parents proud! :)

All ya need is some coke, baking powder, and I think I tasted egg and nutmeg. |
i agree with gav. graduate school will make your undergraduate work largely unimportant. so just go to a school that you will enjoy for four years for your undergraduate, get good grades, and choose the school for your graduate work based on the academic strength of the institution.

Go post in my 2 threads in pop-punk.
Kthx. |

nah man. i'm going to be an OUTCAST BY CHOICE. |
yeah, that's meant to be ironic. guess you didn't quite catch that.
you should listen to Morfar - http://www.howisannierecords.com/aimages/morfar_-_ute_ute_1172086666.MP3 he's releasing a new album soon. |
i think i'll stick with the carcass and you can go argue about communism in PNWI
|
I am actually doing so.
but seriously, anybody got that Mika album yet? it's awesome. I pre-ordered it like two months before 'twas released. (oh yeah, Americans who hate all successful British music by default - you needn't reply.) |
done
Thanks bro. Now go post in my Sopranos thread in media. |
So I heard that I can play "Killed For Less" on bass.
|
Blades Of Glory fucking sucked.
|
yeah it did
|
No it didn't.
|
My sister said it sucked but she laughed at a few retarded parts.
It has Jon Heder, Id avoid it. |
I'm not going to see it. It looks really dumb.
|
It looked bad but I was like, "hey, it's will farrell, talladega nights ruled, this looks gay, but it will probably be funny."
Not at all. Jon Heder sucks as an actor, he's just typecast as Napoleon Dynamite. And there were like 4 or 5 funny parts maybe. It just tried to hard to be anchorman or talladega nights. |
I'm so tired of Will Ferrel. He was funny on SNL but he's come out with like 10 movies where he is the exact same character just in one he's an anchorman, then a soccer coach, then a figure skater, then a race car driver etc etc etc
|
I just paid 20 bucks for iPod headphones less than a week ago and they're already broken. Only plays out of one earbud... the fuck?
|
that utterly shite band that got a mention in here a while back are making waves.
http://www.punktastic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20205&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 |
Yeah that band is absolutely terrible.
|
They suck. But this is on their trivia on wiki and it makes me laugh for some reason
Oli, and several others in the band were straight edge until they met Oli's girlfriends brother Neil Whitley, whose main band Schorched Flesh lyrical content is primarily about getting drunk.
|
quote taken from that forum:
'Exactly. She could've been blinded! I remember when they played Manchester and his hair extentions fell out on stage.' i laughed. |
hahahaha hair extensions. no way.
|
This is also on the trivia section on their wikipedia page, the boy knows the truth.
In a drunken state, Oliver confessed to a Kerrang! scribe: "We're overrated. Our EP was ****, kids only like us because of my hair." before vomiting at the scribe's feet and curling up in a ball
|
