So you proclaim your love for John and Paul by listening to an album neither of them play on? I am afraid I am unable to comprehend this sort of bananna ****** logic.
Since you still can't seem to grasp the infantile concept of discovering new bands through ones you already like, I'll break this down for you step-by-step:

1. there is a little known site called metal-archives.com
2. type into the search bar "havohej," "incantation" or "profanatica"
3. next to either Paul Ledney or John McEntee's name you will see other bands they played in, one of these bands being Revenant. I hope you're still following...

like I said, whether or not they played on Prophecies of a Dying World is a non-issue. The mere fact that either of them had anything to do with Revenant was what caught my interest and led me to check out the album in the first place.
I enjoy them, but my opinions aren't to be taken for granted, since there are so much more elite posters here than I.
But dude, don't you like Six Feet Under? Just sayin...

rattlehead42147 03-26-2008 06:58 PM

Tyler 03-26-2008 08:23 PM

They're brilliant, their new album is the best death metal album of the year thus far by a considerable margin.

rattlehead42147 03-26-2008 08:24 PM

do you have a review in the works for it?

Deth 03-26-2008 08:27 PM

Arghoslent are backwards racists who can write mean death metal songs.

Tyler 03-26-2008 08:29 PM
do you have a review in the works for it?
I most definitely do. It's in my head, I have too many essays this week but I'll write it up this weekend.

Yeah pretty much haha.

Tyler 03-26-2008 08:35 PM

The lyrics on Hornets of the Pogrom are such a chore to read.

RouteOne 03-26-2008 08:38 PM

Predestined warring defeat
Unbearable beasts of a sizzling sun
No force able to civilize them
Predestined warring defeat

The mysteries and legends
South of the First Cataract
From whence natural wealth
Was traded with the Pharaohs

A boorish fellow traveling on foot
Across the flat plains of the Dongolo Reach

Predestined warring defeat
Unbearable beasts of a sizzling sun
No force able to civilize them
Predestined warring defeat

Land of Wawat, Land of the bow
The wooly-haired arrow handler
Reveled against discovery
His destiny carried in a quiver

Land of Wawat, Land of the bow
Reveled against discovery

Born with genetic imperfections
The Nubian Archer unable to grasp
The shortcomings of his brood

Daven 03-26-2008 09:25 PM

Deth 03-26-2008 09:26 PM

I would put it a notch below Incorrigible Bigotry, but it's well worth your time.

Daven 03-26-2008 09:27 PM

Well, it must be very good. How's it called?

/lazy to look it up

Tyler 03-26-2008 09:34 PM

C.O.A. 03-27-2008 12:19 AM

Yeah i really like the new Arghoslent.

Kinda random, but does anybody wanna give me some really cool parts of some death metal songs? (Like specific riffs that are really sick)

i am the robots 03-27-2008 12:31 AM

the very beginning riff of tooth grinder by animosity = awesome as hell

The only one I can think of right off the top of my head that I specifically know the time when it happens is:
Edge of Sanity - Crimson - 15:00
That riff is bad as ****

C.O.A. 03-27-2008 12:59 AM

Cool, I'll check them out.

Thanks dudes.

Mappy - I forgot to mention that I would prefer the riffs without vocals...

rattlehead - That riff is not that entertaining tbh. It's kinda generic imo.

AFragileHope 03-27-2008 03:13 AM

Agreed.

Xenosapien was not as good as Anomalies. But Lucid Interval pwns.

Neuraxis - Shatter the Wisdom (at about 1:30)

AFragileHope 03-27-2008 04:58 AM

Neuraxis are awesome. Only heard a couple of songs but I really want to hear more.

Old Arsis is pretty intense. A Celebration of Guilt owned.
