Then keep working on it... or get a pedal.

I apologize if this is old news, but Joe Barresi was a guest on gearslutz's website. While he was unwilling to answer direct questions concerning Tool, his posts implied that he was directly invovled in the recording process in some way(mixing, producing, etc...), and that recording was not being undertaken at Ocean Studios (as some had suspected). It is more likely that recording is taking place at The Loft.

Just thought some may be interested.

Hmmm, I was tryng to think of all the Joe's in music that could be involved. I never considered producers. That seems to make sense too.

Least Joe is normally quick with recording too :)

paganman7 08-10-2005 04:34 PM

Not to mention the fact that Blair hinted to a Melvins connection in one of his posts, and I believe that Joe Baressi mixed a Melvins album.

YouGottaBeCrazy 08-10-2005 06:30 PM

Blair confuses me :(

A_Perfect_Tool 08-10-2005 06:59 PM

I hear rumors that their album is going to be out in september 19th...toolband or toolshed make no mention of this and they are recording in secreacy? could this be a surprise release date etc?

Moses 08-10-2005 06:59 PM

The rumor is sep. 26th.

Intermission

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-10-2005 10:41 PM

Negative Ions is a cool song, because I really see it as a song that sort of sums up Lateralus, as the sound effects in Ions are similair to those that are expirienced before an astral projection(So I've heard. :p) And I perceive that to be a large theme throughout Lateralus

Queeter 08-10-2005 10:55 PM

i would start with Lateralus or Aenima. i started with Lateralus

jamesclelland 08-10-2005 11:09 PM

off topic, but, i have a class project where i am recording crawl away. i can do bass and guitar and vox, but, i would appreciate it if someone had drums recorded for that song. if not no big deal, but i need to mix in surround, and guitar bass and vox would do a crappy job of that.

PeEpHoLe_10 08-10-2005 11:15 PM

My favourite Tool filler song is Eon Blue Apocalypse.

I agree awesome job on that song. There are bands in my area who have tried to cover it and failed horribly.

i dont even have the will to ask the same question again....

Adam Jones is GOD 08-11-2005 07:22 AM

I think, by now, you can assume that once there is a release date, it will be every other post, people's user titles, 100s of n00b threads, etc. You wont miss it

So no need to keep asking :)

kurrpt 08-11-2005 07:28 AM
