Nostalgia joined MX in Oct 2004. He resides in Washington State (MX, 2007). He has 11,735 posts on MX forums, the vast majority of which are in R&M (Riva, 2007). He regularly contributes to a variety of threads, including as the various incarnations of the Black Metal, Any Other Death Heads? and Folk/Viking Metal threads. This essay aims to investigate the posting habits of Nostalgia and determine whether he is fit for a larger avatar.

In the Report Problems/Ask Questions/Make Suggestions thread he has over 450 posts. This implies he has done his fair share of problem reporting (Riva, 2007). The top posters of the thread are, in general, mods, former regulars or current "top posters" (MX, 2007). This suggests that he is a "good backseat moderator".

Recent shows of restraint by Nostalgia during outbreaks of trolling in R&M also imply that he is a level-headed youth (Riva, 2007). He has also been nominated for RMOTM several times (MX, 2007).

In conclusion, it can be seen that Nostalgia is a worthwhile contributor to R&M and MX as a whole and therefore is deserving of a larger avatar.
