Got the link to work.. :D Weird stuff.

NP - Ghost Reveries.
The whole album rocks. Amazing. If you haven't gotten it yet, or if you have any doubts about the band whatsoever, pick this one up. |
It's good, but I still like Morningrise and BWP and Still Life better :\
|
I'd recommend any other Opeth album over that one, personally.

I think Damnation is my least favorite... I just don't feel that album I guess. |
"Because of the way we breathe we see things in terms of good and evil, but in fact there is no such thing as polarity. Everything actually has three compnents -the holy trinity- and no matter what polarity you think of there will always be a third element to it; for example, with hot and cold, there is warm, up and down gives you middle, etc. From higher dimensional levels of existence polarity is just an illusion. Unity is all there is; there is just one God and one spirit that moves through everything. All that ever occurs is occurring because of the one God.
On our level of existence we interpret things differently. We think we see good and evil. What is really going on however, is timing. The forces of polarity are necessary for the proper functioning of the universe. Remember, the dark forces do everything they can to hinder a particular area of conciousness, be it on a planetary or individual scale. The light forces do everything they can to encourage consciousness expansion and awareness. This opposition consciousness to move upward at exactly the right pace. In the birth of a child, for example, nine months is the proper time, not three months or fifteen months. the forces of Polarity cause the child to be born at exactly the right time. So given where we are, we need to see good and evil and be aware of them, but we also need to recognize that the presence of God is in every situation and that there is a reason for everything that happens. We need to see that everything is whole and complete and perfect and that there is nothing wrong no matter how bad or good it may seem. We need to see that life engenders a deep conscious aspect that is everywhere. In our state we tend to think that we live inside this body, that everything "out there" is seperate from us, and that our feelings and thoughts don't manifest beyond ourselves. We think we can hide our thoughts and feelings and they have no impact "out there." This is simply not true. Everything that we think, feel, and do is creating our whole world all the way out to the most distant stars. We are creating everything in every moment, more so than we could ever imagine." -"Nothing In This Book Is True, But It's Exactly The Way Things Are by Bob Frissell I thought that was pretty deep stuff there. So I thought I would share. And the book is really great. |
I looked through that book at a Barnes and Noble one time. Some of it was rather interesting, but a good deal of it was a complete waste of time.
But if you get past a lot of the bogus crap in it, you'll find some quotes like the one MagicTroll posted. By the way, do you own the book?
Got the link to work.. :D Weird stuff.
How? |
My friend sent it to me on msn... heres the one he sent.

Ghost Reveries is very eclectic, but the heavier songs aren't as good as the ones from BWP/Still Life. I'd say that, overall, it's a better album than Deliverance, though.

Yup, I got it a while ago, and thought most of it was crap, but then a few days ago I wanted to find some stuff on Phi, so I looked through it, and found it, then found some great stuff. There's some serious bull in there, but then there is alot of great stuff. |

For my anthropology class, I'm writing a term paper on the paradoxical aspects of French structuralism and dualities, and that particular passages would be an excellent example of a counter-claim. If you could tell me the page(s) that the quote you typed up appears on, as well as the bibliographical information, (publisher, location, date of publication,) I would be incredibly appreciative. |

No problem, anytime.

You know, I enjoy creating theories, so here is my easy-to-spot tour theory.
Tool Isis Melvins/Fantomas Queens of the Stone Age Members of all bands have appeared in pics, are they telling us something other than band friendship? |
Tool+Isis+Fantomas=Awesome.
|
Maybe that they are gonna have some of those bands in some of there songs, or are helping out in the recording process.
|
I highly doubt I am right, I just like fooling around with Adam's pictures. You're probably right, though.
|
Does anyone else visit Adams myspace frequently? I love his myspace, he displays alot of his work he will be putting on his new website adamjones.tv.

i look at it once in a while. he has some photos of the recording process and just some interesting stuff. |
He's a very talented photographer, i really can't wait for his site to launch.
|
Yes, there's just a chance that they're lyrics. Someone mentioned that the pictures are for the new "video" which would mean that this "Frozenlife" song(the name of the blog was Frozenlife) would be the new single, which would mean that the song may be on it's way to radio stations.
Speculation++
That's an interesting thought. |

Those supposedly called lyrics really don't feel like lyrics to me but a spoken part, maybe they'll have another third eye but better.
|

I just got back from a local show. It was pretty cool. This band (Running From Famous Bloodlines) are a Florida local here, and they are seriously great. The bands there were basically Indie/Emo/etc.., but these guys had a great mix of Hardcore, Metal, and even some other crap. They have 2 singers(Like 3 Inches of Blood). One clean, one scream. Here's their songless Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/runningfromfamousbloodlines
Some indie band Look Mexico was also there, and they were suprisingly good. |
The album will be out January 3rd. Proof? Maynard left us a little hint, http://toolnavy.com/member.php?u=2 (see his location..) Also, didn't Danny say it was going to be out in January?
Ok ok, so this is pretty much just another guess, from some hardcore Tool fan I met on SoulSeek. Its nice to believe this, though. :) |

Is that really Maynard, or just someone who uses the name Maynard? If it's really him, what's the deal with the location saying: "01.03.06"? This is getting interesting now. By the way, I checked, Janurary 3rd 2006 is a tuesday, which is the days that 99% of all cds come out in stores. I'm getting real excited now. |
I recall there being a supposed gimmick account on tdn a while back, with the user name of 2006 that posted a bunch of seemingless miniscule and worthless connections with "2006."
That would make a helluva lot of sense if this guy was for real. |
Well, people aren't aloud to put TOOL Member as there title on that site.
|

Im getting excited now a days. I want new stuff!
|
I'm not sure I understand this. Was this a reply to my post?
Yes, it was. I was just saying that what you're gathering fit into place with a previous "bone" that Tool may or may not have thrown us. |

Ah, okay, I see what you're saying now. Sorry about the confusion. |
Jake, did you ever give my song a spin?
|
So, this is more likely then ever to be the release date?
|
Well, it seems a little more believable then "Teleincision" or that whole dot star thing, since we have a little more proof and all.
|
You know what? I AM going to get my hopes up, and think of this as the new release date. Why not?
(I will be totally wrong) |

Dig the weather today mang? Im guessing brandon got the great breeze as well.
Holy crap! The weather was just completely AMAZING today. Just enough wind. Perfect temperature(although it did get kinda cold towards 8:00pm). I actually went swimming in the coldest water I've been in my life. That pool is always freezing in the first place, but....woah! I think my whole circulatory system froze for a few seconds. I will admit, that it was really refreshing, and could probably add a few years onto your life if applied correctly. Today(and last night) have been the most fun I've had in a while. |
