It sounds more modern?

Eliminator 03-24-2008 08:02 PM

i thought it did then but that was last summer

it has short of a 'sharp'/midrange-y sound

Daven 03-24-2008 08:02 PM

i love the drumming in the album, it's so notblastbeating-alldaylong

Eliminator 03-24-2008 08:03 PM

yeah thats another great thing about it

Angmar 03-24-2008 08:03 PM
you should, take that from a guy who likes drudkh

/unrelated
Anyone who likes Drudkh automatically has good taste in my eyes. :)

But yeah, I'll probably download the album tonight at some point.

ninjamonkey 03-25-2008 05:57 PM

Ironically, Into Eternity just came up in Winamp when I clicked "enqueue random album"

Eliminator 03-25-2008 06:33 PM

i downloaded revenant's Prophecies of a Dying World earlier and it disappeared ugh

stupid computer

RouteOne 03-25-2008 06:34 PM

Any new DM bands that I should check? I've been neglecting it for a while.

Angmar 03-25-2008 06:46 PM

Not a new band but I've been digging Immolation a lot lately, you into em Ron?

RouteOne 03-25-2008 06:47 PM
Not a new band but I've been digging Immolation a lot lately, you into em Ron?
Haven't really listened to them. I'll do that now.

Angmar 03-25-2008 06:49 PM

Get the album Close to a World Below if you get something by em, that's my favorite.

Eliminator 03-25-2008 06:53 PM

that and unholy cult

their older stuff is standard normal oldschool dm

Angmar 03-25-2008 06:55 PM

Yeah Dawn of Possession is cool but their later stuff is more unique and just better overall if you ask me.

Eliminator 03-25-2008 06:56 PM

definitely

masscows 03-25-2008 07:00 PM

heil immolation, glad to see more people talking about them

Ghoul Hustler 03-25-2008 07:03 PM

heil

masscows 03-25-2008 07:05 PM

agreed

rattlehead42147 03-25-2008 08:09 PM
i downloaded Revenant's Prophecies of a Dying World earlier
I got that one a couple weeks back since discovering a love for John McEntee and Paul Ledney's stuff. I've been pretty distracted though and haven't really listened to it thorougly yet.
heil immolation, glad to see more people talking about them
this thread has been favoring some regular Immolation discussion lately.
But yeah, I'll probably download the album tonight at some point.
It's good stuff. It refused to click with me at first though, I guess because the songs weren't that memborable right off the bat.

Oh sweet I'll check some of the other albums cuz I've only heard DoP and it seemed pretty average.

Angmar 03-25-2008 08:59 PM

Yeah Close to a World Below is really good, I like Dawn of Possession but it's totally different from their later stuff.

That great because neither of them play on that album you retarded gibbon.

Also im pretty sure youre the same retarded ****** who said Incantation - Onwards to Golgotha was crap.

In conclusion, **** off non elite.

rattlehead42147 03-25-2008 09:53 PM

lol you're a moron. whether or not they play on it is a non issue, my point was that I discovered it from listening to their other bands. And I've already explained (several times) why I didn't like Onwards to Golgatha when I listened to it for the first time.

In conclusion, nice try idiot.

Moon Flavor 03-25-2008 10:05 PM

****ing **** after about 5 songs I officially declare Close to a World Below to be badassery to the finest.

rattlehead42147 03-25-2008 10:06 PM

I prefer Dawn of Possession, although:
NP: Unpardonable Sin

better than I remembered

VomitStainedCretin 03-26-2008 06:42 AM

I only have Here In After Immolation-wise but it is serious pwnage.

In other news I bought Disincarnate's Dreams of the Carrion Kind (cheaply) on a whim. Is it a worthy listen?

AFragileHope 03-26-2008 06:52 AM

Immolation is sweet. I'm still digging Kill by CC too.

So you proclaim your love for John and Paul by listening to an album neither of them play on? I am afraid I am unable to comprehend this sort of bananna ****** logic.

RetiredAt21 03-26-2008 08:00 AM

How can you not like Onwards To Golgatha?

TheIronWeasel 03-26-2008 08:39 AM

I'm currently spinning the new Origin album "Antithesis", it sounds pretty solid thus far.
