Converge >>> Buried Inside >>>>>> Botch

tbh

**** you mappy

DBlitz 12-13-2008 10:31 PM

i would loosely agree with that

2muchket! 12-13-2008 11:01 PM

I did it to generate discussion

dont really believe it

besides

poison the well > any metalcore

srs tho Chronoclast is such a good album tho'. I play it to people who think metalcore is just about lame chugs like Emmure.

DBlitz 12-13-2008 11:06 PM
poison the well > any metalcore
did you do this to generate discussion too?

you come before you is really good

Txus 12-13-2008 11:09 PM

The best Poison the Well album/ep clearly is The Opposite of December.

You Come Before You was really good too, I quite liked Versions. The rest, idk.
Converge >>> Buried Inside >>>>>> Botch

Botch> Then your whole existence + Converge.

Txus 12-13-2008 11:19 PM

Yeah, you love Botch. I get it.

2muchket! 12-13-2008 11:19 PM

YCBY is more hardcore tho tbh

Opposite of December is just amazing.

Txus 12-13-2008 11:22 PM

I agree.

RetiredAt21 12-13-2008 11:44 PM

Does YCBY have the song Torn on it? If so then it's alright, definitely a step down from OOD.

DBlitz 12-13-2008 11:54 PM

It doesn't have Torn

HighandDriving 12-14-2008 12:06 AM
Yeah, you love Botch. I get it.
I do and I still don't understand why Botch doesn't get the respect they deserve on this forum.

ekajsk8er 12-14-2008 12:08 AM

torn is on distance makes the heart grow fonder, their ep

i love all of their stuff. i haven't heard much from versions though, i really need to pick that up.

Tyler 12-14-2008 12:19 AM

i wonder what the progress is on the new Buried Inside

edit: September Update
Recording is all but underway...
The new record will be tracked over the next two weeks in Salem, Massachusetts at Godcity Studios with Kurt Ballou. Mixing will take place later this year at Red Room Recordings with Matt Bayles, and the record is scheduled for release in February through Relapse Records.
I never got the big deal about botch. Guitars are ****ing terrible

Txus 12-14-2008 12:30 AM

They had some good stuff, but they are nowhere near the best metalcore band ever.

beans 12-14-2008 01:01 AM

i agree with that statement, but i absolutely love we are the romans. such an amazing album

ekajsk8er 12-14-2008 01:13 AM

huttons great heat engine on 061202 is pretty ****ing epic i will say that, but the stuff i've heard on album was kind of boring. not saying it wasn't good because i still like them, but i didn't think it was amazing.

HighandDriving 12-14-2008 01:57 AM

I just can't fathom what ya'll are saying, these guys basically paved the way for all the **** you kids listen to.

They are the best metalcore band, Dave runs circles around anyone of your favourite metalcore guitarists.

DBlitz 12-14-2008 03:07 AM

if you say so

YellowRoseofTexas 12-14-2008 03:20 AM

oh guys someone just told me about this darkened heart and i listened to it the first time and i am in love with metalcore!

I love botch but that last statement is false

Tom Searle > Dave
I never got the big deal about botch. Guitars are ****ing terrible
I've always liked you but I'm not so sure about you now that you've said something like that.

Txus 12-14-2008 12:43 PM
I just can't fathom what ya'll are saying, these guys basically paved the way for all the **** you kids listen to.
I doubt they paved the way of bands that I listen to in the genre, especially bands like Integrity, Converge, Rorschach, Starkweather, Overcast, Coalesce...so **** off.

RetiredAt21 12-14-2008 12:45 PM

Yeah settle down, bro.

Xplisit 12-14-2008 12:52 PM
I never got the big deal about botch. Guitars are ****ing terrible
ugh yeah wtf not even music

botch's guitarwork is genius, tell me, was there anything else quite like that before them?
I doubt they paved the way of bands that I listen to in the genre, especially bands like Integrity, Converge, Rorschach, Starkweather, Overcast, Coalesce...so **** off.
heil all that ****, except starkweather, they have their moments and a lot to take in, but theyve got a lot of really corny moments as well.

Txus 12-14-2008 01:08 PM

I find them pretty good, especially the vocals. I've been getting into Overcast a lot lately.

But yeah, Both were good, not great. End of discussion.

hismajestythepope 12-14-2008 01:10 PM

i like overcast, but i got mad sick of them (mostly because of brian faire), when im listening to that mad oldschool ****, i gotta give my mad props to unbroken and aftershock.

especially aftershock, that band was so ahead of their time.

ekajsk8er 12-14-2008 01:11 PM

aftershock had adam from kse right? if that's the one i'm thinking of they were awesome. weren't they staging a comeback or something?
