Ahahahahaha. This is the best post i've seen in so long. You've earned my respect now. |
Or like comparing me to hardcore Patty (local band references lolz).
|
Can I give you one song suggestion that may change your mind? Dreaming Neon Black
Yeah, because the bands are very, very similar and should be compared. I said leave moron.
Dreaming Neon Black is NOT a good introduction goddammit! Jenna Jameson and Teri Schaivo...I got one similarity. Neither can act. :p |
Yeah but he has an image of just an everyday metal band, and Dreaming Neon Black is not your everyday metal song.
|
They are good.
They're just usually considered some huge thing to kids like this and base whats good around them
What so your not a kid? I listen to other stuff by the way. Do you listen to anything besides metal just out of curosity because I saw you post on the floyd thread. And at least I dont have 5,000 posts on a site like this and try to degrade kids my own age when I only know their opinions on one band. Based on pure influence alone Sabbath is better. |

Alright man |
Yeah but he has an image of just an everyday metal band, and Dreaming Neon Black is not your everyday metal song.
Dreaming neon black is an amazing song. |
Jesus Christ, if you hate Opeth, why are you wasting everyone's time arguing here?
|

Based on pure influence alone Sabbath is better.
Shut up already. Opeth's music is far more intelligent and technical. The lyrics are far more poetic and meaningful, and as I said before Akerfeldt can actually sing. This thread is for Opeth discussion, not bashing. |
Jesus Christ, if you hate Opeth, why are you wasting everyone's time arguing here?
Hah, I guess you are right. |
I listen to alot more then Sabbath even though they are miles ahead of opeth anyways
Hahahahahahahhahahaahahah Hahahhaahhahahahahahahhah Hahahahahahhahahahahahaha I mean I like Sabbath and all but Hahahahahahahahahahhahaha Sabbathkid: Listen you may not like Opeth but 1) they rule and 2) there's no reason to go in this thread and spam it up. I figured you were a gimmick poster at first and maybe you are but if you're not either give their songs a chance or don't bother posting.
Yeah but he has an image of just an everyday metal band, and Dreaming Neon Black is not your everyday metal song.
I don't really picture them as an "everyday" metal band, it's just that I didn't really get grabbed by anything when I listened to them, and I know that I dislike most metal, so I didn't really bother listening much. I'll check the song out though. |

Bye.

If you're trying to get into Opeth then you can post. But if you're just going to post that Black Sabbath is better than Opeth () then yeah, don't. |
like i said earlier sabbath=jenna jameson, opeth=terry schaivo thats a must in terms of sabbaths influence to everyone else, i cant really comment on opeth though due to the fact i have havnt heard much of their stuff, i remember liking some of the acoustic stuff though.
|
Here we go again .

Influence isn't the same thing as talent or creativity at all. Just because a band is influential doesn't automatically make them good. |

I can't let this go. Computer Jesus your avatar kicks ass. Chrono Trigger is such a rocking game.
|
I shall remind you guys we're not here to doubt people's tastes and shit, we're here the Opeth and stuff.
You know. Music. |
I can't let this go. Computer Jesus your avatar kicks ass. Chrono Trigger is such a rocking game.
Quated for absolute truth! It's too bad Chrono Cross wasn't near as good. |
Quated for absolute truth! It's too bad Chrono Cross wasn't near as good.
Cross was good. I got an ISO for it and played that. Trigger did pwn it, but at least now I know what happened to Schala. Whenever I start talking about the Chrono series, this little thought jumps out from the back of my head and I have an undying want for Chrono Brake to start being made already  |
It's all about the smaller processors guys.
16-bits is the way to go. Degrading, not upgrading. I should get a Super Nintendo. :-º |

Bill Ward > Martin Axenrot Tonni Iommi > Peter Lindgren Geezer Butler > Martin Mendez Ozzy> Mikael Akerfeldt Sabbath>Opeth I dont mean to bash them but sabbath is just better |
Technical wise?
|
Bill Ward > Martin Axenrot
Tonni Iommi > Peter Lindgren Geezer Butler > Martin Mendez Ozzy> Mikael Akerfeldt
Crap, I don't even know where to begin. All I can say is... Iommi may be a technically better player than Lindgren, but the other three are very far from true. |
From the Chrono Trigger references, Ozzie, Slash and Flea (Magus' henchmen) we're all named after Ozzy Osbourne, Slash (GnR), and Flea (RHCP)
 (I remembered this when I saw "Ozzy>Akerfeldt", which is a lie ) |
Geezer Butler > Martin Mendez
Ozzy> Mikael Akerfeldt
 Dude, are you serious? Damn...... |
