Carnivore is awesome.
|
Very much so.
I'm a relative Thrash n00b but they're the ones I like most/have heard.
I've heard a little bit of Anthrax and also Megadeth but I wasn't a huge fan. And also look into Anthrax and Megadeth more if you havent heard much from them. They both are really good. Iced Earth would clearly be my favourite out of the ones mentioned above
You should definately check more of these thrash bands out man. Its good stuff. As for Iced Earth, I think they are thrash and power metal, like what pretty much everyone else is saying. Some songs are thrashy, some are power metal. And I need to check out that band Carnivore. I have never heard of them. |
I've NEVER liked Anthrax AT ALL. Was even a time these guys played thrash?
|
I hate Anthrax.
|
Anthrax rules. WTF you guys :(
|
Duude! Tell me four songs you can't go wrong with to download.
|
Anything from Spreading the Disease or Fistful of Metal, preferably the first.
|
I doubt I've ever listened to such old Anthrax, should be good. I'll download Spreading the Disease tomorrow and let you know soon enough. In which album did the decline begin?
|
I like most of their stuff to be honest, so I dunno.
|
Their first few albums are excellent.
I'd say the decline began with Persistance of Time. |
After Among the Living. You should get that one its my favorite from them.
When they played Deathrider when I saw them live during the reunion tour, it was pure mayhem. |
They were quite good when I saw them opening for Priest. That was a kickass show.
|
I was 13 when I saw them. They were really fun. Danny threw a pick at me and I got to high five Joey since I was all the way up at the front :D

I'm pretty new to metal other than nu-metal in general. First heavy metal song i heard was Hallowed Be Thy Name off Dance Of Death |
Please tell me that you are joking.
|
Hallowed is off Number of the Beast :). Unless you meant and Dance of Death, I dunno.
Something is weird tonight with the newer users. |
Anthrax in a Musical sense was alright by me, but i HATE anthraxs' vocals. With a passion.
as far as some good thrash that people havent really heard of (as far as i know) Accuser artillery asassin warfare sacred reich razor etc etc etc THRASH RULES!! |
Artillery is one of my top 3.
|
Would you guys consider Agent Orange Sodom's best album?
|
Yes. I love the new one though.
|
Please tell me that you are joking.
Dance of Death tour aka Death on the Road My bad :p |
Daath on the road (lol)
Who else is as excited as I am for the new Blood Freak? |
Would you guys consider Agent Orange Sodom's best album?
I do, but for everyone who says Agent Orange is their best you will get someone who thinks Persecution Mania is superior. |

+1 to Agent Orange followed closely by Obsessed By Cruelty wich actually sounded a little black/deathish to me i liked it |
I like Agent Orange more than PM, but it and Tapping the Vein aren't too far behind. M16 and the self-titled complete my top 5 Sodom albums.
Artillery
I've not heard them. Recommend me an album? |
by inheritance
|
Definitely By Inheritance
|
fear of tomorrow isnt bad either
|
Terror Squad is also good (the album, I havn't heard the band). The stuff I've heard off their latest offering, B.A.C.K. is also good, but not quite By Inheritance good.
Artillery were scheduled to play at a festival this summer but I think it was cancelled. They're still around as far as I know. |
