Well without straying to far from what is generally considered metalcore, I generally prefer bands that are more on the core side of things and less on the metal ie Underoath, Poison The Well, Architects, Misery Signals, The Bled, The Chariot etc...

But I occasionally dig the more metal side of things like The Agonist or Chimaira

Thrill Seeker is streamable on last.fm so I'm listening right now. A youtube video of a live performance is available on the same page as the actual song. The actual song plays automatically in the corner which I didn't notice. So I started the live performance and two started playing at the same time so I'm like omg this is horrible, until I noticed what was going on.

So yeah first two tracks on Thrill Seeker are generic a definitely at worst generic but at best enjoyable.

as far as being terrible goes, the video i posted doesn't even come close to the attack attack one.

i was thinking more of the song, but the video was pretty awful too. hackjob as far as professionalism goes (hell, my bands joke hip-hop video was edited better :p ) and the concept was not very much to write home about. also, they look like fags - although not in the same way as Attack Attack, still looking like fcking Kings of Leon is not very heterosexual.
