haha, smooth talkin man.
apparently, if the older sister is a pain in the arse her parents are going to tell her to shut it, phew.

i think i'm actually more bothered about the job interview i have beforehand actually, seeing as i'm pretty short of cash at the moment.

Heh, seems like a bizarre situation... well then again only one of the girls I ever dated has had a sister. Over protective brothers are much more serious, they tend to try to start **** with you.

i'd understand it if her parents were over-protective of her, as she's 2 years 8 months younger than me*, but i don't see why her 26yo sister, who's married and has kids, is so bothered.

*no, i'm NOT a paedophile.

Shattered_Future 03-24-2006 04:15 PM

Show tonight. Wooooo.

Note my enthusiasm. However, practice was actually mad fun last night, owing to the fact that almost everybody brought in something with sugar. It got to the point where me and my friend were attempting to do synchronized cartwheels outside after it was over.

WOW, that's ridiculous, freaking 26 and still immature?

so it would appear.
meh, gotta take the rough with the smooth. she's not the one i'm seeing, so it doesn't really matter that much, she just comes over with her husband and kids every week apparently.

Yo. Between 6 PM last night and 10 AM today, I'm not sure how much of that time was spent in oddly realistic dreams, and how much of it was spent deliriously pacing my room unable to sleep with old episodes of MST3K playing on my computer to provide white noise.

To make up for it, I have a new spotlight up, as well as a review on Sputnik for Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.

nah, it's been ok so far. off to bed in a bit though, as i have a fairly busy weekend. i think i'm goin fell burning tomorrow, so i'll need a fair bit of energy to stop a massive fire raging out of control, lol. although if it rains tomorrow, i won't be doing that.

Lord Abortion 03-24-2006 04:38 PM

Jom 03-24-2006 05:13 PM

What's up guys!

I just got back from the gypsum mine for one of my classes. It was wayyyyyyyyyy more fun than I thought it was going to be. And then I got a Slurpee for the first time in forever after! Yesssssssssssss.

And I went to the zoo yesterday for another class! We have to make a virtual tour for a younger class, and we have to shoot/film the movie and then screw around with iMovie. It's going to rule.

And I'm going bowling tonight! One of my roommates doesn't do jack and just sits around our townhouse, so after weeks of concocting with my other roommate we're finally going to get him to go out. There's going to be eight of us or so - and it's going to be freakin' amazing.

And all this almost makes up for me finding out that I pretty much tanked on my exams this week :(

Meh, oh well. Hakuna matata!

gillygan 03-24-2006 05:18 PM
And then I got a Slurpee for the first time in forever after!
Ooh I need one now. Do you still have the link for DKFH? Becasue this guys needs it.

I went to see a band. was rather poo though.
Hehe, Superpeer thinks I'm incompetent because I don't like Socialism.:p
No, you're just ignorant. I'm glad you know what emo is, though. :p

Just went to see Crash.

Stoic 03-24-2006 06:00 PM

how was it? It's been already released on DVD by the way...

superpeer 03-24-2006 06:02 PM

I know, it's been re-released in the cinema after it won the Oscar. I thought it was great, very moralising, obviously, but there's nothing wrong with making people think about important matters, even if it hits you right in the face, because most people don't think unless you hit them in the face.

Stormrider 03-24-2006 06:31 PM

So I scraped my hand while playing hockey, and now, I can't play guitar :(

...

Jev 03-24-2006 06:32 PM

That sucks. I've been unable to play bass thanks to my silliness of getting blisters.

Invicta_Veritas 03-24-2006 06:33 PM
So I scraped my hand while playing hockey, and now, I can't play guitar :(

...
Man I hate that shit.....i bang my hands up working on my car all the time, so that it hurts when I play guitar afterwards......it sucks.

TojesDolan 03-24-2006 06:35 PM

Like American History X?

Yes that was rather nervewrecking. With all the male raping and other stuff for that matter. And moralizing.

Anyhow, My friday night is in it's genesis stil. My school is holding a tournament so there's a lot of people from other cities. I'll more likely go out tonight and see a bunch of jocks getting it on with a bunch of jockettes, and I'll be there thinking of my Opeths and my Morbid Angels while I listen to Hillary Duff.

And while I see some tails.

it's all about the tails, really.

Stormrider 03-24-2006 06:46 PM

I'll put a bandade on it or something...hopefully I'll be able to play afterwards.

blue3 03-24-2006 07:03 PM

Yeah, hopefully. Sports injured my hand before too, and not being able to play guitar was the worst part.

Jev 03-24-2006 07:09 PM

I do swimming and Jiu Jitsu. Swimming doesn't hurt my hands. The latter can sometimes :(

MBS 03-24-2006 07:16 PM

Hey guys, I haven't posted in here for a while. How goes it?

blue3 03-24-2006 07:16 PM

I just play hockey or basketball when I feel like it and other than that, I don't really play much sports anymore.

Stormrider 03-24-2006 07:22 PM

I only play Hockey. Aside from the stuff we do in Gym class at school.

Yes, I recently slit my thumb with a razor.

I was trying to close my victorinox blade, hich I had sharpened some time before, and while closing the little blade for sharpening pencils, I pushed to hard and I cut my whole finger.

It's better now. I filled it with oil paint and dirt, but it looks better now.

On a related note, I can't play when I get the tiny pieces of skind peeled off because of playing? And they hurt? Well that.

Funny how what you wrote made me think of the time when I was in grade 1, stuck my pinky in a sharpener at school and started sharpening :)

Hehe

blue3 03-24-2006 07:34 PM

Hah. When did you get a big avatar?

When you weren't watching.

It'll vanish in a few weeks, hopefully. I'm enjoying it.

Next week I'll ask for it to be changed for a gigantic pair of Homer's kissing each other.

Yes, I have quite a history with razor blades and my hands. This other time I was playing with a nija turtles costume with a pair of razor blades for shaving, and I cut accidentally my index knuckles. :-/

It was funny afterwards.

yeah good times with completely inoffensive house artifacts.

Stormrider 03-24-2006 07:47 PM

In grade 2, we were learning how to make papers liek curl with scissors. And the teacher picked me for an example. So I kept doing it afterwards, and I missed and cut the end of my finger :-/

The first time in kindetrgarten that I learne how to snap, I kept doing it until my middle finger cut open and it burned like hell.

Thats a touching story. Every time i go to a party my friends love punk when i hate it and love bands like arch enemy, In Flames and Opeth etc and there i have to listen to Green Day and Story Of The Year.

I'm seriously considering buying an insurance for my hands.

You know because they arpeggiate and sweep like no others...

<_<
>_>

Anyways...

Regarding the post above me (Hopefully) I have nothing against any kind of music. Hell, my friends don't even know what sort of metal extremes I like and all that stuff, but I'm not really concerned about sharing it.

Anyhow, yes. Music is interesting.

ATM 03-24-2006 08:45 PM

Invicta_Veritas 03-24-2006 08:51 PM

<<<<<<<< Has an incredible headache from studying music theory and being confused all the time......

And I have found that beer doesn't make it go away.

Hey does anybody have an email and extra time and know a lot about music theory (guitar specifically) ? My band has an album to record and I'm struggling with several solos, and theory is beating my ASS !!!

<<<<<<can't get straight answers from anyone......

ATM 03-24-2006 08:54 PM

Theory pfffttt

I just play my guitar loud and obnoxiously.
