I really enjoy thrash. mostly old school but some newer stuff too. Heres some of the thrash bands I like:

Normally I'm not that much of a thrash fan, but at the moment I'm in a huge thrash phase. Some of my favorites include Megadeth, Kreator, Municipal Waste, Anacrusis, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault, Sodom, Exhorder, etc.

i pretty much like all thrash bands. The ones I listed are the ones I listen to the most. I think the only thrash bands I have a hard time listening to sometimes are Nuclear Assault and Annihilator.

Only good bands named are Slayer and Municipal Waste.

Just out of curiosity, have you heard all the others?

Most of them.

Oh yeah and Suicidal Tendencies but I don't think they're plain thrash.

Has anyone heard of Violator? Great crossover from Brazil. Reminds me of Municipal Waste.

Heard of them, and fairly certain I've heard a track of theirs a while back. Pretty good stuff, they did remind of me Municipal Waste, yeah.

I'm a relative Thrash n00b but they're the ones I like most/have heard.

I've heard a little bit of Anthrax and also Megadeth but I wasn't a huge fan.

Iced Earth would clearly be my favourite out of the ones mentioned above

I've always thought of Iced Earth as more of a PM band than a thrash band.

Yeah I've always seen Schaffer as the equivalent of Harris

IE are pretty Thrashier than your average PM band but I'd still call them PM.

Carnivore, a thrash band from the late 80's is worth checking out.

I can remember listening to them ages ago.

Iced Earth debut is pretty thrashy, in the way early metallica was.

I call them power/thrash, but they lean more to the power side.

Carnivore aren't too bad.
