jcxstargazer 07-17-2005 12:31 PM

So I tried learning Konstantine on guitar, but I'm not too good with my little finger when it comes to holding down notes. Anyone got any tips?
Get a Les Paul...
Um... any realistic tips?

Oh oh oh! Two more dates have been added to the Taste of Chaos tour:
Nov 7th Doncaster Dome (:D)
Nov 13th Brixton Academy

Untitled 07-17-2005 01:06 PM

Top Gear is on, its so funny, i love it, but it makes me wish i had lots of money to buy a car, thats car.

I want the Ferarri thats on it, i think its a 350, but i hate ferarris, but that looks so cool, it even has launch control...

jcxstargazer 07-17-2005 01:06 PM

Bridge pickup with a bit of distortion usually works quite well

Kif 07-17-2005 01:08 PM

OK, I'm actually playing on an acoustic, so any other tips?

That's the intro riff (the only bit I could be bothered to transcribe way back when...) - I think the last note on the low E is the first fret... if not, it's a 0. Don't have a guitar or piano in front of me.

I should also add that those groups of three notes need to be played a few times each, just in case you hadn't figured that one out yourself. :)

footfetishx.com? Those are some fruity tastes you have there. ;)

jcxstargazer 07-17-2005 01:13 PM

Feet are so horrible, I have no idea why anyone would have a sexual interest in them

Understanding In a Crash 07-17-2005 01:13 PM

Thats where the pic came from, on a main site my friend :upset:

Nightvision 07-17-2005 01:14 PM

haha, the old excuses are the best. :p

It's always good when someone posts a link without looking at it. :)

So, wassup?

Untitled 07-17-2005 01:24 PM

Ha ha ha, at ferarri, i appreciate only i am proberly gonna find this hilarious.

But, the Ferarri road cars are slower on Bridgestones, then Pirrerels, but the new ferarri has all bits on from the F1 cars, which run off bridgestones, and as ferarri endorse bridgestone, youd expect them to work on there road cars,

Oh Ye Oh Ye!

Understanding In a Crash 07-17-2005 01:30 PM

I don't understand the problem, their basically just variations of basic chords individually picked?

He's having trouble holding the note with his pinky.

CommieCanada 07-17-2005 01:35 PM

Here's a little spot of news from Alternative Press. The new Early November album's release date was pushed back to Feb. because they decided to go ahead and record a TRIPLE album. Ace Enders said that one disc will be rock, one will be softer and the last will be music and spoken word. They have also been experimenting with new styles, such as 50s love songs, blues and country. I for one, can't wait
He's having trouble holding the note with his pinky.
I do that in bass playing lots, especially Longview by Green Day. I have quite a strong Pinkey coz of it.

Nightvision 07-17-2005 01:37 PM

'Warning' on Bass really helped me with my pinky. And walking up and down the strings.

Kif 07-17-2005 01:39 PM

Yeah that's what I mean, I need some help holding it. I mean, I have to get better holding notes with my pinky.

I practice a bit playing the solo for Sum 41 - Pieces, that helps

Understanding In a Crash 07-17-2005 01:41 PM
'Warning' on Bass really helped me with my pinky. And walking up and down the strings.
Agreed that song rocks.

Do you play with 2 finger plucking or 3? Or do you just use a pick?

Nightvision 07-17-2005 01:41 PM

the very end riff for 'Boys of Summer' by The Ataris might help a little.

I'm still a Bass-Tard (cool, new word!) so I'm using a pick. I don't seem to get any volume whatsoever with my fingers.

Understanding In a Crash 07-17-2005 01:42 PM

Work on the spider chord bub. The M.O.P. verse riff specifically.

chumpradio 07-17-2005 01:43 PM

Yeah, Warning helped me a lot on using my pinky.
And although you didn't ask me, Dan : I alternate between 2, 3 and 4 finger plucking, using less fingers for faster songs, and if a song is too fast for my fingers, or needs a different tone, I use a pick.

Nightvision 07-17-2005 01:44 PM

tricky bass part to play with fingers:
the bass solo at the end of 'Westbound' by Allister

Oz Rembrandt 07-17-2005 01:48 PM

I use a pick most of the time, but I play with 3 fingers when I finger pick.

RissaPoodle 07-17-2005 01:56 PM

Oh my god, my brother is out looking at a Mustang. He's gonna buy it and I'm gonna freak because that means he would have a car before me. A nice car. That *******.

That's because Parents shouldn't trust girls with nice cars with the way they drive :thumb:

haha... I daren't agree with that, but I will say that I've only been hit while driving once, and that was by a woman.

Understanding In a Crash 07-17-2005 02:09 PM

I was driving yesterday and a women decided to drive on the my side of the road in our left turn lane going in the opposite direction.
