DBJ is basically granting anyone a name change. How often does he do a thread like that?

i am the robots 07-12-2005 05:08 PM

Haha, tight pants = acceptable, scenester hair cut = no.

Piercings are fine, I plan on getting my lip pierced sooner or later, dunno why, just kinda want to.

Illmatic 07-12-2005 05:08 PM
He's going to rebel against you and wear girls pants with a scenester hair cut.
Well, then disown him, cut him off, and kick him out of the house. In that order. I'm not kidding.

Depending on the lengths he'd go to piss me off, I'd hit him, too. Hey, he was asking for it.

Lunch: The only acceptable tattoos are prison tats. He doesn't have to go to prison (even though I'd rather have a kid who is a con that then a kid with an emo haircut and girl pants) to get them.
And what if your kid is a fruit?
Well, then I'd just be confused as hell as to why he'd look a certain way and set mainstream acceptance of his kind back 50 years.

But then again, I'd live with it as long as he didn't bitch about being oppressed.

The last one was how I changed my name to Gilmour

There is a difference between tight pants and girls pants though, there is a large population of metalcore/hardcore fans now that genuinely buy their jeans in the girls department, and lowriders are also becoming very popular amogst those people who choose to wear the girls jeans

It boggles me how these metro-sexual guys can get some of the HOTTEST chicks. What girl wants to date a guy that takes longer then her to get ready?

Women are afraid of old-school men.

NJMetalMeister 07-12-2005 05:13 PM

Beats me, im still trying to find the girl that cares 0% about how long it takes a guy to get ready, as in that i dont get ready, what im wearing that day is it, and if they dont like it then tough shit.

Unfortunately there arent too many non-psycho hose beast womens out there that are into unkempt slobs like myself.

I agree, those = lame

I normally wear jeans that are MY SIZE..... wow, I have such an original style...

I have tight jeans, but because they are old and don't fit me properly, not because of some emo sensibility.

Buying jeans in the girl's department- hahahahaaaa... losers

Yeah theres this local band around here whos Drummer and Bass player are both totally heavy metal to the bone, but the guitarist is hardcore and the singer is just straight up emo, but has a metal scream.

They are actually a pretty good band too, but they label themselves "Emo-Metal" so a lot of people that would normally like them are totally turned off.

http://www.myspace.com/saltthewound If anyone cares. They arent bad at all.

NJMetalMeister 07-12-2005 05:15 PM

Yeah, modern day clothing is ridiculous. What ever happened to wearing normal sized clothing in normal colors (i.e. not bright pink if youre a dude)

ATM 07-12-2005 05:17 PM

I also dont understand why guys would go out of their way to impress women with their clothes.

If you cant pick up a girl in a tshirt and jeans, then you suck.

Lord Abortion 07-12-2005 05:18 PM

Seriously- guys shouldn't wear pink- it's not good.

I don't think guys should wear girls clothes, but I don't have a problem with colors. I like colors, actually.

Why is it that I'm the only kid in my class who wears a trench coat on a regular basis?

Endless Obsession 07-12-2005 05:21 PM
Seriously- guys shouldn't wear pink- it's not good.
I hate pink shirts, I hate popped collars, I hate wrist bands when you are not doing anything that involves sweating on the fore arm, and I hate sunglasses when its not sunny.

EDIT: And spiked bangs
Why is it that I'm the only kid in my class who wears a trench coat on a regular basis?
Cause trenchcoats are kind of wierd.

Then I suck, but at least as far as girls in new jersey go, im the epitomy of chick repellant so i have an excuse. Lets analyze shall we:

1) longish hair, that is only getting longer
2) Beard
3) tattoos
4) Wears normal colored clothing in normal sizes
5) does not listen to music for lyrical content
6) Even when admiriable lyrical content is found in the music listened to, its not love songs or crap like that so they dont consider it good lyrics.
7) 0% italian heritage (which actually is a huge deal near my parents house where its a huge italian population, many girls will not give you the time of day if you are not italian at all)
8) Drives an american car, not a rice burner
9) even though its an american sports car, it isnt "pimped out"
10) Chooses to ride a bicycle for short distances because i have no need to show off my car to go a quarter of a mile to a 7-11

yep, time to order me a russian mail order bride.

Arucard 07-12-2005 05:22 PM

Because people that wear trench coats are scary, and usually 'gothic.'

Im back units! Im so glad i have this account back.

I need to find my Arsis thread, does anyone have any idea how? I've tried the search function, but i can't find.

NJMetalMeister 07-12-2005 05:22 PM
Seriously- guys shouldn't wear pink- it's not good.
No joke, last time i went to buy a pair of sneakers, probably about a year ago, all I wanted was a nice all black pair of sneakers (or at least mostly black), and it was honestly easier for me to find pink sneakers or mostly pink sneakers than black ones. Something is wrong with that if you ask me.

Arucard 07-12-2005 05:25 PM

I had some Vans TNT's with a pink stripe down them :\

And 12, my computer can run Far Cry on high specs without much problem, so i am happy.

i am the robots 07-12-2005 05:26 PM

I am not gothic, though I did used to wear eyeliner/spiked bracelets back in 8th grade, but that was before the whole wave of metalcore trendiness, and I grew out of that.

I like the trench coat though, it makes me seem mysterious.... lol, I dunno, I guess I could be considered weird, but that's just because I'm not into big trends.

I really don't like most of the kids that wear trench coats at my highschool. I don't have a problem with dressing somewhat nice or somewhat preppy (not annoyingly preppy). I usually wear something along the lines of jeans and a t-shirt/polo shirt/ button down occasionally.

Thanks Byzantine, but i meant the 'Probably the best Melodic-Death band you've never heard of' one.

Lord Abortion 07-12-2005 05:30 PM

Hell, if I had the money for a trenchcoat I would consider buying one- I'd get sick of the Matrix Jokes repeatedly levelled at me though

Just click on your avatar and hit "find all threads made by 88fingersjoe" and a search comes up with all the threads you have ever made.

Agreed.

And guys who wear pink are people who I hate, especially when they wear a pink shirt that says something to the extent of "real men wear pink".

/shops at army surplus stores

I also wear a trench coat fairly often, but it is more of a duster and I have a reason to wear it since it rains alot here in Oregon. They work a hell of alot better then a normal coat thats for sure.
