I think we need a chat.
I guess I like Classic Rock Discussion Thread, I don't care.
What do you guys think of Boston??
Great band. I have and enjoy listening to their first album.
Good stuff :thumb:
Band with good vocal harmonies, first album is good, 2nd is okay, 3rd blows and so do any albums afterward
Yeah I don't know what happend with Boston. I love the first album. I would put it up with the top 10 classic albums ever. But after that, they just sucked. But every song on the first album is just great. My favorite song is "Something About You". I really want to find a tab for it.
I like Peace of Mind the best
I despise Boston (they disgrace the city!)....so once again, I'm in the minority.

Why don't you like them? ...and let's not beat those Steelers :D |
They're generic, boring, schlocky corporate arena rock.
And we will show the Steelers that payback is a bitch. |
Everyone knows that i'm an arena rock whore. So I lvoe them :) (mainly just the first album though).
I dig Van Halen, so I don't mind a little cheese, but early Van Halen struck me as being a little tongue-in-cheek, whereas Boston seemed to take themselves 100% seriously.

Roethlisberger, I believe and we will tear the Pats a new *******.
Please. We held the Colts to 3 points. I think we can stump Big Ben and stop the Bus.
This is a Classic Rock Thread not football thread.
Yeah that's what you said when we killed your winning streak
We didn't have Dillon then. Also Randall Gay has come a long way from that game. Plaxico won't burn him badly.
(also, post 1,000 baby) |
Ill started handing out neg reps if you guys keep talking sports.
Tell them to stop talking trash about my Pats.
Who?
Patriots?
Alrighty then, lets talk about the Doors.
What do guys best like about the Doors music I really like the poetry a lot, that's prolly why I like The Crystal Ship so much |
Look we all know Steelers > Pats....end of discussion.
That's why I started discussing the Doors a post or two ago
Bill Clinton and Al Gore wore Jerry Garcia ties

Or pop songs which I secretly like (not really secretly now). They're an awesome band. |

When? How? What? |

which pop songs |
Jerry appreciated formal dressing, so he decided to make a tie brand. And two of his costumers were Gore and Clinton.
And?
That's interesting. It's an explanation and follow up to my previous comment.
So I see.

I think they are the greatest band ever behind of course The Beatles. I love the poetry and the psychedellic feeling they give off. With John smashing into his jazzy style of drum playing, Robby playing his SG as if he it were a spanish classical guitar (flaminko), Ray on his orgins seem to give off a Monk kinda style and then theres Jim with his amazing sexual energy that he brings to the stage and then screams his soul down into the mic. The Doors are Coltrane psychedellic mix which blends together simply amazingly.
*Favorite Band* |

*Favorite Band*
I LOVE John's drumming, its not the best out there, but his jazz style of drumming is so perfect for The Doors and awesome. What's your fav song by them |
The Doors are pretty hit-or-miss for me. I really need to be in the mood to listen to them, and some of their material is fairly unlistenable.
Long list short I chould say 6 out of the 11 songs of each album.

Who the hell do you listen to? You don't seem to like any of the bands we talk about |
