Just so you know (and don't panic if you can't find all this stuff you've added), they'll both show up under B on your Albums (I) Own list.

Good morning, all.

Good to see you won, Ben, you deserve it.

im not a big fan of the SG series. I had a G-400, 3 pup, gold hardware. It was no where near as good as a 61' faded reissue, but then again, its about an 1/8th of the price tag
for epis, i personally think they suck ballz compared to the real thing (Gibson). I've tried about 50 Gibsons, and I will say there is a big difference
Its so stupid when people in the guitar forum say that epiphone + new pups = gibson. First of thats not true, and second i know they probably havnt tryed an upgraded epiphone, nor a gibson. They are just jumping on the bandwagon. Rant over:thumb:

So i have this monday of, and i will probably be spending most of the day on MX :chug:

Np- Dark Tranquility: Lost t Apathy

Ill never get sick of this song.

i am the robots 02-13-2006 12:15 PM

Yeah man, Lost To Apathy is freaking awesome, that whole CD is, it's amazing that those guys have managed to stay on top of their game the whole time.

NP: Unearth - The Great Dividers

kurrpt 02-13-2006 12:17 PM

i havent heard anything from those bands...

about the band wagon thing, i believe anyone who makes a decision solely from "advice" from people on an internet forums are even worse then the retards giving the bad advice

I'm starting to like Haven alot.

i am the robots 02-13-2006 12:20 PM

Haven is probably their best one, Skydancer and Projector coming in close seconds.
i havent heard anything from those bands...
Dark Tranquillity is very similar to In Flames' old stuff, they had the brother sound to them back in the day like In Flames has with Soilwork now.

Haha, no way man, this dood on this one forum told me Cryptopsy are sell-outs, so now I don't wanna hear Once Was Not!

NP: Unearth - Black Hearts Now Reign

kurrpt 02-13-2006 12:24 PM

I only have Lost to Apathy. I attempted to download of the daily upload but it didnt work. Most times i try to download any Dark Tranquility it dosnt work :( I did get a hold of The Gallery and im listening to it right now. It sounds like a mix between Power Metal and Melodic Death Metal. Its awsome.

You haven't heard Soilwork or Dark Tranquillity?! Where have you been, living under a rock?!

Sorry, it's just that those are two of my favorite bands :p.

NP: Killswitch Engage - Temple From Within

Oh listening to metal in the middle of Journalism class.

Sounds interesting. Just something else I must check out. I'm drowning myself in bands to check out :(

i am the robots 02-13-2006 12:34 PM

Gillygan is right, it does sound like a mix of power metal and melodic death metal because it's Gothenburg :D. Dark Tranquillity was the first band to play music that people call, "the Gothenburg sound."

NP: Killswitch Engage - My Last Serenade

EDIT: Actually, that post was rather misleading, Ceremonial Oath was the first band to play Gothenburg style melodeath... along with Septic Broiler, those two bands both called it quits for like a month or two and reincarnated as In Flames and Dark Tranquillity... though technically not the same bands, Ceremonial Oath was mostly founding members of In Flames, and Septic Broiler literally was Dark Tranquillity.

This was in like 1988 too :).

I'm hooked on Ravi right now. 20 minute songs with some amazing sitar playing and Indian percussion. Sweet stuff:cool:
