Out of the question? why? Its possible.. I doubt Tool even knows who Opeth are, though.
...

 I think they probably do.

Darkness 10-16-2005 02:27 PM
...

They might, but its not like there out looking for metal bands from Sweden, thus I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't know who they were.

mudvayne420 10-16-2005 02:32 PM
that is an interesting theory and it obviously took a while but in all seriousness, you can do that with any songs on lateralus, practically all of them are in the key of D so they will all run into each other well.

maybe im just not seeing it but I doubt the band intended that order.

well done anyway.
WHo knows? well thanks man i just like the way Eon blue apocalpyse fits well with the end of refelection and runs into triad smoothly.

repcak 10-16-2005 02:40 PM

the new style is horrible... i changed it to "gray" - i can live with this one

edit: what the hell.... you can see even the location of the user!! and when you click on edit you don't move to another page... cool. i like it, though i still don't like the colors

beaNN 10-16-2005 03:02 PM

I don't mind the new style, tis fine by me :D

Static 10-16-2005 03:08 PM

Hey Repcak, what style do you mean? Do you mean the colors or the setup?

Kage 10-16-2005 03:11 PM

I like how the new Edit system works and how the quickreply has the full typing options.

I'd put money on it that Tool know Opeth. Especially given the fact that the members of Opeth love Lateralus.

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-16-2005 03:50 PM

I see a lot of similarities between Lateralus and Blackwater Park. A lot of repetition, reocurring riffs. Both are great albums, though.

repcak 10-16-2005 03:51 PM
Hey Repcak, what style do you mean? Do you mean the colors or the setup?
i mean the colors of 'MXtabs-Style' style. the setup is great :thumb:

@Kage: what do you mean by that?
ps.: schau mal auf meiner homepage vorbei - hab vor 2minuten einige nette zitate hinzugefügt! in einer eigenen sektion :D bin gespannt was du dazu sagst... ahja und ein gästebuch hätte ich auch ;-)

Doesn't look like this guy is going to fall for the whole "album next week" thing...

Dude3 10-16-2005 08:15 PM

Faith+1, I finally understand your user name now! Its from South Park. Its funny, because I used to love that episode, but the name didn't hit me. I was just watching a re-run of it, and I was like "Woah.....".

Yeeeep.

Ahhhhh....

There we are.

Looking good, layout. Looking good.
I'd put money on it that Tool know Opeth. Especially given the fact that the members of Opeth love Lateralus.
Where did you hear about this?

Kage 10-16-2005 08:59 PM

Blind, your location kicks ass.

BlindWriting 10-16-2005 09:02 PM

 Thanks man.

I'll see in a second if the KC thread is still up and running.

Kage 10-16-2005 09:02 PM

Have you read Insomnia by him? If you haven't, I think you'll love the allusions.

BlindWriting 10-16-2005 09:05 PM
Have you read Insomnia by him? If you haven't, I think you'll love the allusions.
I'm honestly not quite sure if I know what you're referring to.

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:05 PM
Where did you hear about this?
It was stated in the bios on www.opeth.com, and in several interviews the members said they were huge Tool fans.

Kage 10-16-2005 09:06 PM
I'm honestly not quite sure if I know what you're referring to.
Oh...so you don't know what The Court of the Crimson King is?

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:06 PM

I think he was refering to the band.

Kage 10-16-2005 09:07 PM

Oh...that's weird. I guess we're all on different levels here.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-16-2005 09:07 PM

I'm guessing BW was referring to the album by King Crimson.

The new layout is a lot cleaner, I think. The whole location thing is decent, but I still want a 100x100 avatar.

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:09 PM

Jake, I'd like to see your opinion on my song in the death metal competition.. if you have a moment (or 4:01..) can you give it a listen? :)

Kage 10-16-2005 09:09 PM

AHH that's weird. When did that album come out, out of curiosity? I'm talking about something completely different.

BlindWriting 10-16-2005 09:15 PM

Yeah, I was referring to King Crimson's first album, In The Court Of The Crimson King. I think it came out in 1969-1970.

What were you mentioning back there?

YouGottaBeCrazy 10-16-2005 09:16 PM
AHH that's weird. When did that album come out, out of curiosity? I'm talking about something completely different.
I think 1969.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-16-2005 09:17 PM

Yeah, it was 1969.

Mike, I'll give your song a listen. It'll probably take more like 20 minutes with download time, but hey, I'll do it, man. For you. :faggotwink:

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:20 PM
Yeah, it was 1969.

Thanks. :D Its on soundclick, so you don't exactly have to download.

Kage 10-16-2005 09:20 PM

God damnit!! My computer died, I'm at school now so my post rate will be low for a while. It's also gonna be hard to send out the next Classical Education email.

Reywas 10-17-2005 02:15 PM

If my computer died I would go nuts. All my music would go down the drain.

Moses 10-17-2005 02:17 PM

I know it really really sucks.

bwnstl 10-17-2005 02:23 PM

Just because your computer dies doesn't mean all your files disappear. Maybe his motherboard fried or something?

Moses 10-17-2005 02:29 PM

Yeah the harddrive is fried.

Now you can't review my song in the competition. :(
