CoB are great live... but not the greatest
NIN live > CoB live :p

I'm Charming 03-30-2006 04:38 PM

man.. im ****ing done with this guitar.

I want a guitar without floyd rose.

When it behaves it's great. KEY ****ING WORD.

I tune it, Lock down the floyd rose... wahh laaa. It's a whole nother note. Take the top string for example,

I tune to a perfect D. When I lock down the tremelo. It's a flat as **** E.

All the strings are doing it.

I've had that problem since I got it though. I got good at tuning flat and when locked down it would be perfect. that of course doesn't work.

It's not the guitarist nor the tuner nor my ears.
The strings aren't ancient either.

\wants a guitar without floyd rose

/Hugs his string-through Schecter

I've never been a fan of Floyd Rose or any other locking trems, for that matter - I almost never use the whammy bar anyway.

Only time I've ever used it was on some CoB stuff, messed around with some Slayer solos(boring). That's it really.

The guitar has a great feel and excellent action. It sounds great too.

The funny thing is, I was almost dead set on a string through Schecter. Then I found the Jackson which was a lot nicer. It sounded and played so much better.

Now I think not.

Then it should pull a great price on eBay to nab you the funds for a string-through, right?

EDIT: Not much of a Jackson fan - they can't do much other than metal, and I play a hell of a lot other than metal.

MRDuCran 03-30-2006 04:48 PM

Sucks for people that don't know how to work Floyd Roses.

/can put whole guitar in Bb standard in 2 mins.

In theory yes.

In reality no.

I'm 17 thus can't have a credit card. Thus can't do Paypal. Plus I don't trust paypal and I have first hand knowledge of trying their pathetic security for the hell of it. I wouldn't touch it. My parents wouldn't go for that and I wouldn't myself as I said.
There goes eBay.

Lol. I know how to work it. That's not an issue. I'm just fed up with it.

I've never been ripped off on Paypal...ever. I'm 15, so I don't have a credit card either.

Try selling it locally?

Yeah something like that. I wouldn't trade it in, keeping it for a paper weight would net more than that.

The problems I was refering to about Paypal were,

Pathetic customer service. If you do get ripped off, your screwed basically. Unless it's something majorly illegal were you could get the cops on your side. They don't have a clue about computers/cyber crime though and just make a report, file it and let it sit.
Second, Someone can get into your email account (childs play) and then get onto your ebay and Paypal accounts with ease. Thus your personal information at great risk. "Security Questions" are like underhanding A-Rod a pitch.
I wouldn't touch it.

I'm Charming 03-30-2006 05:21 PM

Sorry to double post but w/e.

Mitch & any other people who know guitars.

Could I cause damage to my guitar if I just un-screw the bolts to lock the tremelo and take them off?

I can't see that causing any problems. Is that okay to do?

GenuineImitation 03-30-2006 05:23 PM

I dont think it would cause any problems, but I would check in the guitar forums. Tehy seem pretty knowledegable about equipment.
Something about bolts
It's fine, it won't stay in tune as well but if you don't use the bar alot, it shouldn't go out much.

Sleepy 03-30-2006 06:08 PM

If the age limit is 16+, Six, and you don't look large/big enough to get in on looks...yeah, you're kinda screwed.

7-Up 03-30-2006 06:09 PM

guess so, my friend is smaller than me and he got to go to see slipknot....

MegaMustaine 03-30-2006 06:13 PM

Yeah. Only time I ever use the bar if on a couple Bodom riffs. The intro in Everytime I die and that part before the intro solo in Needed 24/7.

I played through Lashed To The Slave Stick, Sixpounder and Raining Blood a couple times each. It wasn't really outta tune. Plus it takes 5 seconds to go up to standard.

This means I'll be learning some DB.:thumb: :thumb:

Plenty of guys aren't super tall.

I think it's more in how mature your acting/voice.

Oh yeah. Be ready for the security guy to ask your b day if he has any doubts. Then just take your real one with 1987 as the year.

How tall are you and "mature" do you look? Face wise.

Sleepy 03-30-2006 07:17 PM

You should act like you, "know the drill".
