The most underratteed song of BOTT is Lily Rosemary and the jack of hearts, the best song about his wife though is on desire, its called Sara
i love Lily Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts. It's amazing, theres only three chords (i think) in the whole 9 minute song, its driven purely by his wonderful lyrics. plus its fun to polka along to ;)

im trying to check out that link, but my internet horribly slow. i might have been there before though, i like to search out interviews.

That's two useless posts in a row. Are you trying to make me angry on purpose?

I don't blame Bob Dylan for hating interviews. I'm sure he's been bothered to death by the media by now.
...Clearwater revival?

Huh? Don't spam my thread.

Rats, I missed the Bob Dylan interview :upset:

Who else? CCR Rules!
Agreed. I listened to them all of yesterday and most of today ;). One of the best songwriting bands ever.

relax.

does anyone ever wonder what bob dylan/any other insanely famous person does when they are at home alone? i just can't imagine him sitting there reading a book, or playing solitaire and stuff like that.

like earlier in his life he was always busy with interviews, touring, writing, that sorta stuff. but now he must have so much time and money on his hands. what would you guys say if i told you i was secretly bob dylan?

who did most of the songwriting in that band? im guessing at John Fogerty, or did they do it in the "team effort" format?

Your Bob Dylan.

lunch998 12-06-2004 07:42 PM

Dylan probably just sits around and thinks about how awesome he is.

thickasabrick 12-06-2004 07:42 PM
Your Bob Dylan.
What have you heard so far? I can probably help you out.
Dylan probably just sits around and thinks about how awesome he is.
by the looks of it from the interview, i'd say he doesn't do a lot of thinking anymore. and he said he doesn't listen/look back on his old songs anymore, unless he's performing of course.
What have you heard so far? I can probably help you out.
i've only got a few i downloaded..

sugar magnolia, truckin, jack a roe, touch of grey, samson and delilah, friend of the devil. that seems to be it (mostly badmoon recommendations)

i'd like to buy a couple of their albums, but i dont know what to start with.

edit- HAHAHA Livewired your avatar is awesome! i just noticed it

RockAndRoll 12-06-2004 07:46 PM

Alot of of previously super famous people probably want to just relax and read books or play solitaire. They've had years of a physically and mentally punishing lifestyle, relaxing would be a real good idea.

hell, i feel like doing that after a long physically and mentally punishing day at school. they deserve all the best in my opinion for their contribution to society.

lunch998 12-06-2004 07:47 PM

Me and My Uncle, Fire On the Mountain, Scarlet Bagonias, Uncle John's Band, Ripple, Dark Star, St. Stephen, Wharf Rat, Dire Wolf.

Get either American Beauty or Workingman's Dead first.

Broken Arrow 12-06-2004 07:48 PM

Try Dire, Fire on the Mountain or Stagger Lee.:)

(Dead suggestions:))

BludgeonySteve 12-06-2004 07:52 PM

Box Of Rain + everyone else's.
Box Of Rain + everyone else's.

I also wish I wasn't poor so I could buy many more albums.

thickasabrick 12-06-2004 07:55 PM

ya i've heard a lot about American Beauty. i think i will buy it first.

thanks for the songs.

edit- i have enough money to buy my way into heaven, i just don't like spending 40 bucks on a record at this ripoff store. its the only one in my city though that has the records i want and for good quality. so i try to pick and choose from there, not just buy everything i see (i spend most of my money on guitar stuff)

RockAndRoll 12-06-2004 07:56 PM

I love box of rain.

Broken Arrow 12-06-2004 07:57 PM

Working Man's Dead> American Beauty

gmoneyguy 12-06-2004 07:58 PM

I need to buy a Dead CD.

Probably, I'll buy one with my christmas money.

thickasabrick 12-06-2004 07:59 PM
Working Man's Dead> American Beauty
ya? did the Grateful Dead like change their style from album to album (like zeppelin or jethro tull) or did they stay generally the same (ac/dc)? if they had a lot of different styles i suppose i will end up buying them all anyway.

BludgeonySteve 12-06-2004 08:01 PM

I've heard that Workingman's Dead was better than American Beauty from a few people. That's the one i'm getting either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow ;)

edit: the one time we're actually talking about the grateful dead, badmoon isn't here. I feel guilty :upset:
