i'm a traditionalist - i say go with notb or powerslave most here, though, will probs say somewhere time or 7th son

Lord of Sword 09-14-2004 08:40 AM
yeah with the churchill intro tape like on the Metal 2000 tour...
what's your dream maiden setlist guys..
say15 songs in order
i wouldn't care if they got rid of songs like the trooper, run to the hills etc. they've played run to the hills every single gig since 1982, except the NY gig this year when they couldn't play the encore. anything off powerslave and i'd be happy, or even better something off somewhere in time. they rarely play anything off piece of mind either, besides the trooper. there's dozens of great songs they've never played live, like to tame a land, most of powerslave, alexander the great etc. they should have more than one setlist for a tour, or at least change a couple of songs throughout the tour.

Akira-Tekro 09-14-2004 10:24 AM

Killers is the ****!
Murders in the Rue Morgue is one of my favorite songs ever!
I would spend hours in my room listening to this cd...... Ahh memories!!!
I like everthing from the self titled release all the way up to Somewhere in Time.
I think for my taste, they lost a step after these cd's came out.

Still gotta keep it real and show respect for Maiden......

If your gonna die, die with your boots on!!!

A-T

GurS 09-14-2004 10:26 AM

"still life" should be played more often live... *goes watches Maiden England video*

FrailandBedazzled1979 09-14-2004 12:57 PM

Somewhere in Time is my all time favourite of theirs and has some of their heaviest tracks.

2.seventh son of a seventh son
3. piece of mind

Piece of Mind

Where Eagles Dare
Revelations
Flight of Icarus
Die With Your Boots On
The Trooper
Still Life
Quest For Fire
Sun and Steel
To Tame A Land

The bold ones are my favorites.

Anyway, if you're going to introduce yourself to Iron Maiden, you should never just go out buying albums willy-nilly if you're not going to at least START with The Number of the Beast. It will hook you like no other.
