My favorite Against Me! songs are 'Walking is Still Honest' and 'Y'all Don't Wanna Step to Dis'. In fact they are my teo favorite songs ever, by anybody. The new song off of the live album is pretty damn good. Catchy as hell, but not in a 'Don't Lose Touch' way. Anybody like it? I'm really excited about the 2007 Sire debut now :)

ps: i just made a pretty sweet mix of the best against me songs. theres like 25 of them or something on the cd.

The band puts it on the internet
It gets lost, some random person finds it and put its on the internet.

I think most times it's actually the second reason these days.

The Against Me! cover sounds like its gonna be really awesome, and there's also plenty of other great bands that are participating: The Ergs, Hi-Ho Six Shooter, The Queers, and This Is My Fist to name a few.

Yes.

My main criticism of the live album is that it sounds too much like a studio album. Not enough crowd noise, banter or deviations in the songs.

One of the main things I like about live albums is that they figure out new variations of the song like a guitar solo or extended intro, but from what I've heard about American's Abroad it doesn't have anything like that.

All of the best Reinventing Axl Rose songs sound better when either palyed live or on other versions, seriously. The song RAR is about a million time better live as are all the other ones.

Alright so I saw AM! yesterday.

What a godamned disappointment. They played Problems, God's Ears, Two New Songs, Sink Florida Sink, and Cliche Guevara.

However, I did talk to Warren at the merch booth and made him look stupid. I was wearing my LAtterman shirt and he said trying to sound really cool, "Nice shirt. I know those guys." "Yeah, me too." "Oh uh.... small world." and then walked to the other end.

If that's all they played it has been a pretty shi'tty setlist. What was the new songs like?

The Crime version of Walking is still honest has none of the energy which the RAR version has.

Pretty much any Against Me song is better live than on record.
