Are there any guitar players in here?

If there are, does anyone know what settings C&C use on their amps to get their sound as far as gain, EQ, and FX? Thanks.

I asked here cause I didn't feel like making a whole new thread in the guitar forum, but if there's no answers here, then I will.
I'd imagine it varies between songs and albums. I can't see them just using 1 specific combination for every single song.

DaveIsWrong 10-01-2005 08:22 PM

Well yeah you're right, most likely it varies, but is there a prevalent setting that may be more common for them, that they use on alot of songs?

B 10-01-2005 08:26 PM

Not that I'm aware of. Then again, I'm not really the right person to be asking.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-02-2005 01:07 PM

The concert was so incredible. The guy standing next to me was talkin to me before the show and he showed me this tatoo he had of the keywork and it was red and the background was black and it said Co&Ca and he said he was getting the guilltione on his back with all the dead bodies around it. So Riviera Theatre is kind of small but it was effin packed it was so stinkin hot in there. I was right up on the fence that seperated the pit from the stage and it was so sweet, Claudio's hair was so tight. But they didn't play much from SSTB they only played Everything Evil and Delirium Trigger. Off In Keeping Secrets.. they played Three Evils, Blood Red Summer and A Favor House Atlantic. Then off GA they played Keeping the Blade to open up then Claudio came out with his double neck and played Always and Never then played Welcome Home and Ten Speed right in a row it was so sweet. They also played Apollo I: The Writing Writer, Wake Up, and The Suffering. Then the played an encore of In Keeping Secrets it was so intense then they ended it with The Willing Well IV: The Final Cut. It was probably the best day ever it was so awesome!!!!!!!! I also got this tight zip-up sweatshirt it has the keywork then it says Coheed and Cambria and it has the Guilltione on it. They also had like a concept screen thing kind of goin along with most of the songs on a screen. They also had these two frame things one was a window and it had Ten Speed in it and then one was just a border thing and a picture of The Writer. It was so awesome!

Gnarmageddon 10-02-2005 01:15 PM

That sounds awesome. I want to see them. :(

DepthsOfDreams555 10-02-2005 01:47 PM

Ya they also kind of slowed down the tempo on a couple new songs. Like Ten Speed and Apollo I it could've just been me but it sounded like the tempo was slower. Also the sound guys sucked everything was off the bass drum was like way to loud practically the whole show.

Sep 10-03-2005 07:09 AM

They are coming to Holland again in December. I am mad I won't be there then.

TMA 10-03-2005 12:57 PM

One week till Coheed hits Portland, Oregon. It's going to make my week.
Playing the same place as they did last year, so I don't think I have to worry about space or sound or anything, cause the Roseland rocks. Last year was awesome thought. It was on halloween, so all the bands came out all dressed up and sh*t and Underoath tossed out candy.
Whoever is seeing them on Halloween this year, I envy you, and I want you to know, it is going to rock so hard.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 04:07 PM

Ya the sound at the Riviera sucked so bad it was terrible didn't take away how awesome they were though. I really wish I would have seen them last year where touring with Underoath by the way the Underoath special edition They're Only Chasing Safety CD/DVD with three unreleased tracks comes out tomorrow.

hey, you're not cory! 10-03-2005 06:42 PM

I'm seeing Underoath on the 21st. I'm really excited for it.

They tone and distortion varies and is changed in a song. They don't use the same one through out one song.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 10-03-2005 06:46 PM

I got my tickets for the show in L.A. on the 16th. :)

B 10-03-2005 06:46 PM

UnderOath are coming here with Thrice pretty soon. I'd love to see them but tickets are sold out, and seeing Thrice won't be too exciting for me if they play all new stuff. I enjoy their old stuff (Identity Crisis era) much more.

I think you're looking for another thread my friend. :thumb:

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 06:47 PM

No I posted something about Underoath.

Mute Print 10-03-2005 06:48 PM

I would pay anything to have the Thrice/Underoath/The Bled tour come here. Three awesome bands that I've never had the chance to see. :(

Oh well, seeing Coheed on November 4th should be cool.

Spectrum 10-03-2005 06:52 PM
They tone and distortion varies and is changed in a song. They don't use the same one through out one song.
Yeah, like in "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3", in which he starts out using clean tone with a bit of echo and tremolo, followed by straight-out sections of distortion. In the third section, he returns to the clean tone, starts the song over again, and then heads back in to the full-out distorted section.

Similar to "Time Consumer", starting with a clean section, followed by very heavy distortion.

My friend's cousin is the bass player for The Bled. And she is getting my friend backstage passes to the show here.

Haha, nice. I'm hoping that they will all come here at some point after the Thrice tour is over. I'd like to check them out sooner or later.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 07:40 PM

Brain that club you go to seems to have pretty much any band you would want to see come through sooner or later haha.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 07:41 PM

The Junesong Provision(Acoustic) off of the re-released Second Stage is messed up and Claudio's voice is so tight haha its echoed.

Mute Print 10-03-2005 07:42 PM

Yeah, the one club here has everything. I even told the guy who books a lot of the shows that I want to see Thrice, Underoath, and the Bled, and he said he would work one bringing them. He also said for me to give him a list of bands I want to see so he can try and get some of them.

They have also started to give my dad and I some free tickets to shows. I love that club so much. :D

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 07:44 PM

Dude thats tight just a little tid bit I remembered it was tight at the Coheed concert I saw this huge fat guy that worked at my local Hot Topic he is really cool I alwasy talk to him when I am in there.

Also the Demo of Everything Evil is pretty much the same as the original version. I noticed that Mic sings KBI at the end before the "I wish goddammit" parts and he does after them too but thats the way he does it live.

Thats awesome. My favorite venue is Chain Reaction. Tons of great bands come there and its not a big venue (it only holds 250 people) so it seems more intimate. I'm seeing The Dillinger Escape Plan w/ Between The Buried And Me, HORSE the band and 2 other bands there in November.

hey, you're not cory! 10-03-2005 08:32 PM

Whats the new artwork for Second Stage Turbine Blade like?

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 08:35 PM

Heh, I'm seeing Underoath the night before I see Coheed.
Then I'm seeing Opeth two days after I see Coheed.
But Coheed will be the best of it all.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 08:57 PM

Coheed was so good I like can't get over how much fun I had and how tight it was I want to go see them again like tomorrow I can't wait to see them again.

On xanga, it shows the re-release with the same cover.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-03-2005 08:59 PM

Ya I thought it was the same.

DJ Ducksauce 10-03-2005 09:04 PM

They probably fixed some of the typos in the booklet though.

masterchief 10-04-2005 06:42 AM
Yeah..you're right. I think they're better.
No they're average.
