Yeah, that was lame. I was pissed about that. I never thought he'd let his team down like that. And it wasn't even really a concussion, it was something like like "post-concussion syndrome." Something about being depressed and worn out. Well... duh... it's hockey, and you're getting old. He doesn't have many more seasons in him till he becomes a Daneyko. I'll hate the day that comes, but till then.... keep your head up when Stevens is on the ice.

But anyways this is casual convo, almost nothing is off topic.

Ok, I'm going to make the story long now.

For months, my dad would complain about getting an air lock in his throat.. like you know when you have a BIG air bubble in your esophagus.. and it hurts like a bitch? He was getting that... we noticed that it was only triggered when he ate starchy foods like bread. So he stopped eating starchy foods.. in fact.. he couldn't even eat bread if he wanted to. My aunt who is an RN thought he had a hidel hurnea (butchered spelling)... my dad has lost a lot of weight (big man.. 6'2... was probably over 400 pounds.. maybe? I dunno.. we couldn't tell.. scales only go up to like 350.. ) anyway.. my dad being excited about loosing weight... whatever.. don't eat bread..

Well then it started happening with other foods... and because we don't have health insurance, and because my dad is one of those "Doctors are for pussies.." he ignore it.. while we watched and worried.... and eventually for the past two weeks.. he hasn't been able to eat anything with out it getting stuck and then thrown back up.

He finally went to my doctor.. my doctor said he felt that he had a bleeding ulcer... my dad's stool was black.. thats ALOT of blood in your stool. My doctor told him to go to the hospital because they can get blood results alot faster than he can (3 hours compared to three days) and they also will need to find WHERE the ulcer is.

And my mom doesn't want to bring him home and take him back tomorrow because he is unsteady on his feet.. light headed.. and we don't know if it is because lack of nutrition from not eating for a week.. or because lack of blood.. in which he might need a blood transfusion. Not to mention, if my dad does pass out or anything.. there is no one in my house who would be able to pick him up.. He's too big.

Jeez man this year is going by fast , hope next year goes by fast too, well half of it, then i want things to slow down, so i can plan out how im gonna pay for the trade school i wanna go to :p

And LR: that *really* sucks. I've never had experience with ulcers...I remember back in the day I used to play Pac-man on my Sega Genesis with my mom and she'd be all like "gahh I'm getting an ulcer." I now have a different view on it o_O And Dragoon has 666 posssssssssts.

neither of my parents have a job that offers health insurance.

Wouldn't matter too mcuh to me.. I wouldn't be covered because of my age.. and I'm the one who NEEDS it.
