Feel The Darkness 01-31-2006 09:33 PM

FUCK YEAH!

I can't wait. Phobia rox my sox.

RetiredAt21 01-31-2006 10:42 PM

Wow, I wasn't expecting a new Phobia album, this is awesome.

RetiredAt21 01-31-2006 10:43 PM

Like I've always said, you can rarely trust a squatter.

Subvert_bassist 01-31-2006 10:48 PM

****in' sweeeeeeeeet!

Subvert_bassist 01-31-2006 10:51 PM

Eh, squatters around here aren't that bad. We play at local squat house dubbed Off the Grid occasionally.

Feel The Darkness 01-31-2006 11:07 PM

Nah, I've known many squatters and they've all been cool, but occasionally you run into a nutcase and shit like this happens.

I really hope Jack is OK. I'll email Timmy to pass a message on to him.

NewKindofArmy03 01-31-2006 11:20 PM

A benefit show is being set up here for him. My band is gonna be playing and we're trying to find a headliner.

Feel The Darkness 01-31-2006 11:30 PM
A benefit show is being set up here for him. My band is gonna be playing and we're trying to find a headliner.
That's awesome, yeah I know he was good friends with Greg and Tony and others in the area.

Subvert_bassist 01-31-2006 11:57 PM

If our drummer's wrist wasn't broken, we'd set up a benefit show. I know that BORN/DEAD and Voetsek would play it for that cause.

clustifux 02-01-2006 12:37 AM

why not just get a fill in for your drummer for one show...i know it wouldnt be exactly the same as regularly, but itd just be a temp. We had a fill in for my old band when our old drummer was out of state. we only used him for 1 practice but hes still a good buddie.

Subvert_bassist 02-01-2006 01:08 AM

Because we don't know anyone who can equal the skill of our current drummer and can learn the songs. We can wait the 4-6 weeks until the cast comes off. Or we might just cut the thing off ourselves.

Gnarmageddon 02-01-2006 06:16 AM

Anyone listen to the new song? It rules.

Times Ten 02-01-2006 08:04 AM
I'm seeing them in May with Disfear and 9 Shocks Terror. What a show that'll be.
Same. I hope.

clustifux 02-01-2006 09:33 AM

ha..nice.

oh and are Ulcer anygood? I havent heard them but ive heard good things.

Theramed 02-01-2006 01:53 PM

haha i read "NEW PHOBIA ALBUM IN MARCH HOLY S'HIT! " about 4 times before i realised it was repeated.

I can't wait

RetiredAt21 02-01-2006 02:31 PM
Some Girls are terrible.
Nu uh.

RetiredAt21 02-01-2006 02:33 PM

If I had a band together, I'd do a benefit show, but everyone around here sucks and they don't listen to grind or crust.

NewKindofArmy03 02-01-2006 02:52 PM

I don't like them at all either.

Gnarmageddon 02-01-2006 03:15 PM

Their cover of 'No Fun' is hilarious.

Times Ten 02-01-2006 05:32 PM
If our drummer's wrist wasn't broken, we'd set up a benefit show. I know that BORN/DEAD and Voetsek would play it for that cause.
Dang. Born/Dead and Voetsek? I'd go.

RetiredAt21 02-01-2006 05:41 PM

I'd be there even if I was in a full body cast.

RetiredAt21 02-01-2006 05:42 PM
Their cover of 'No Fun' is hilarious.
I've never heard it. Who is "No Fun" originally by?

Feel The Darkness 02-01-2006 06:22 PM
oh and are Ulcer anygood? I havent heard them but ive heard good things.
Yeah Ulcer are good. basic grindcore, but still good. I have their split 7" with Failure Face. good shit.

RetiredAt21 02-01-2006 06:56 PM

At first, I thought that said, Ulver.

Subvert_bassist 02-01-2006 07:14 PM

Eh, Some Girls aren't bad. They aren't amazing, but they're not too bad, either.

RetiredAt21 02-01-2006 07:28 PM

I like American Nightmare/GUTG better.

Gnarmageddon 02-01-2006 07:35 PM
I've never heard it. Who is "No Fun" originally by?
Sex Pistols.

NewKindofArmy03 02-01-2006 09:37 PM

Behind Enemy Lines is so good.

IMPORTING OIL, EXPORTING BLOOD!

DaveToopes 02-01-2006 10:12 PM

HER BODY, HER DECISION

I love BEL a lot.

Feel The Darkness 02-01-2006 10:31 PM
Behind Enemy Lines is so good.

I used that song for a school project once. It ruled.

BEL needs to tour the US and include TX.

also to add...id play drums for you for a benifit show..but i donno if i could meet your drummers speed...plus i dont play double bass.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 12:00 AM

Neither does he; that's all one foot real fast.

clustifux 02-02-2006 12:14 AM

oh damn..

RetiredAt21 02-02-2006 12:15 PM

So, what do you fellas think of Crotchduster?

RetiredAt21 02-02-2006 12:17 PM
Neither does he; that's all one foot real fast.
Yeah...you're definitely gonna have a hard time finding another drummer that can do that. That's some pretty impressive stuff.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 02:01 PM

Thing is, he's been playing for like less than two years. He's just a natural.

Oh, and, just out of curiosity: what song made you guys think he uses double bass? Because, since I'm so used to his drumming, it all sounds normal to me.

We recently did a kinda test to see how fast his blast beats are: they averaged around 1000 bpms. Just in case you were curious. Just listen to how fast the blast beats get in this song:
http://s7.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3VGHIKELJ3KJL0DTGBNV13CS9P

THIS SONG SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Haha. We just pressed record with a couple mics in the middle of the room and did improv for a couple minutes. No serious effort, but it highlights how ****ing fast he gets. And the reggae part near the end is cool. Also, after the reggae, listen for the crazy, almost Agoraphobic Nosebleed-fast fill.

Me and Chris (drummer) are starting a power-violence band called Grave Digger, Like the Monster Truck. There's no guitar, just distorted bass. Should be easy to record, so in a couple months when we do, I'll post it up here.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 02:29 PM

I really don't like them, at all.

RetiredAt21 02-02-2006 03:07 PM

D00d, why not?

whiteminority 02-02-2006 03:29 PM
So, what do you fellas think of Crotchduster?
Justin they are more fun than good.
