soda lol, yank
yeah, its called pop.

Pluperfect_Arson 03-13-2007 01:50 AM

Well, I am one of the few that address it as "soda." Everyone else calls it pop, but I hate saying that word.

funkyhoney 03-13-2007 01:52 AM

"can of pop" is the best phrase in the English language

Az_Holl 03-13-2007 01:54 AM

i agree that 'can of pop' is a great sentence, but personally i think that 'Can i bum a fag?' tops it.

Pluperfect_Arson 03-13-2007 01:54 AM

Man, that phrase fails.

I say "Can I have a/some soda?"

I do not drink it all that often, though, because it is nasty.

Thunder Fingers 03-13-2007 01:57 AM

I am norwegian..

I have learned Soda.

I am a norwegian with very good english :p

Thunder Fingers 03-13-2007 01:58 AM

funkyhoney 03-13-2007 01:59 AM

Thunder Fingers 03-13-2007 02:02 AM

funkyhoney 03-13-2007 02:04 AM
yeah i know, ive never heard anyone say soda and only my nan calls it pop.
the word "soda" is un-australian unless it is preceded directly by "creaming" or "kirks creaming".

funkyhoney 03-13-2007 02:04 AM
ok, have anyone here heard ANYONE else than John Entwistle playing the way he did?
Not really... he was pretty unique.... Tim Bogert maybe?

funkyhoney 03-13-2007 02:07 AM
ok, have anyone here heard ANYONE else than John Entwistle playing the way he did?
if you were really good at english that sentence would read:

OK, has anyone here ever heard of anyone other than John Entwistle playing the way he did?

Thunder Fingers 03-13-2007 02:10 AM

Thats what im saying! EVERYONE and their grandmother claim him as their idol and proceed to not even attempt playing like him in the fear of sounding like a copycat, and with that end up sounding pretty much like everyone else..

its the same with geddy realy.

Jaco on the other hand, every Jazz Bassist attempts to sound like him.. thats like.. wrong the other way again.

No one really SOUNDS liek Jaco, they have the same fretless tone usually.

I think Sheehan sounds like Entwistle a little, definatley in terms of tone and really bringing the bass out front.
