Such an ace release.
Comets on Fire are great. |
"Goodbye Sober Day" by Mr. Bungle is the best fucking song.
i have friends/know people that get blazed pretty much every day
Yeah, I know people like this too. Just grates on me when it's outside my door and I have so little free time, while they get stoned and fuck around for 5 hours on a Monday.

i get an idiot burn out that talks to me every day as if i'm interested in how much nitrous he did
nah I've never heard, like, Joseph Arthur. Should I?
Yes, yes you should. The only way I can describe him is Elliott Smith meets Beck's experimentation. |
The Onion AV Club interviews... Maynard?! Yes, they did. Pretty amusing, especially this:
AVC: Do you feel out of touch with your audience? MJK: For the most part, I have no idea who those people are—especially when we're traveling through Europe. And it's not all our fault; it's a whole series of events. [You play] heavy music, and your record company, which has never owned an album anything like what you're doing, immediately markets you to the obvious stinky kid with the dreadlocks and the B.O. and the urine on his shoes because he's been sleeping in his own filth in a festival in the middle of the rain. They basically market right to that guy. And then you realize the only people showing up to your shows are those primates—these weird, cretin people… Then, let's say you're at a coffee shop, and you've got a friend sitting next to you, and you've been reading some Noam Chomsky, or you're reading The Onion, and you look over and see a bunch of kids [who] look like they could be made of cheese, because there are flies everywhere. And you go, "Hey, you want to go where they're going?" and everybody goes, "**** no." And they're wearing Tool shirts. Why would you want to go there? Why would anybody other than those kids wanna go see Tool if that's our representative in that area? So it ends up being a no-win situation. Of course, that's a completely extreme example.
|
Maynard is a bastard.
|
I think it's funny.
|
Holy Crap.

Reading this is almost the same thing as reading a Thom Yorke interview. Except more references to wine cultivation and less whining. |
Is the whole interview on the net? The Onion Website didn't work for me.

I recorded a Mount Eerie concert last month. Does anybody happen to want it?
|
*raises hand* yes, i would love it.
Holy Crap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ljx-2fDixA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpsTW-UUTkA
holy crap that's in tucson, i had no idea of this ever happening under my nose. |
Ok, I'll upload it tomorrow I guess. The quality isn't the best, and I just realized I could have made it much better, but I won't because splitting the tracks up and trying to get a better eq was boring as hell and it took forever and I don't want to do it again.
Discuss Karl Blau. |
i dont know though im going to see phil elverum on the 16th do you think i should wait and see the show before?
|
supp brozzzz
|
Well, the concert isn't really full of surprises or anything, it's just kind of nice. Him with an acoustic guitar and nothing else.
|
Wow, theres nothing I love more than getting on myspace, reading new friend requests and finding out that I really love the music they're making, especially when they're so little known with so little friends. This is one of the bands that just recently added me that I thought was awesome...they're caclled Musee Mecanique and if you're into indie/folk/almost lo-fi baroque poppish, check em out:

So I saw the Borat movie the other day. It was pretty good. That naked wrestling scene was ridiculous.
|
I really want to see Borat, it looks amazing.
The naked wrestling scene made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. And then it kept getting more bizarre and ridiculous, so I kept laughing harder, until by the point they were at that banker's meeting I was almost out of my chair.
It was great knowing that while I was watching this, my friends, half of my school, and even at least one teacher was watching it right along with me. It was also really awkward knowing that.

was there plenty of former soviet union penis action

Yeah seriously I was in stitches by that point. And then watching those security guards beat the crap out of them was even funnier. |
Yeah, that part was pretty hysterical.
|
The best part of the naked wrestling had to be the scene in the elevator.
|
When the camera turns to that other guy that was still in there after everyone else has left.
