Surtr 03-19-2006 11:21 PM

Long time since I've been here..I'm banned from Mx by my parents..But I've been up late lately..So they're asleep and I'm able to get back on.

DJ Ducksauce 03-19-2006 11:24 PM

Oh, that sucks. You on this too much like me?

Surtr 03-19-2006 11:53 PM

Well..They kicked me off because they don't like me talking to complete strangers..But Mx is to cool to quit..I think this may be the first time I've been on in around 2-3 weeks.

DJ Ducksauce 03-20-2006 12:04 AM

oic, I probably need to take a break because it interfere's with my homework too much. Like right now. I should have been done 2 hours ago. But look at me.

I actually think I might head to bed now. Night Stew.

Surtr 03-20-2006 12:19 AM

Permanent Solution 03-20-2006 12:27 AM

I've decided hoing to SXSW for a cross-atlantic road trip will be priority next year. It's like mardi gras for rock music lovers. The only thing is I heard it was majorly expensive

thx

DJ Ducksauce 03-20-2006 07:03 AM

sup?

Kif 03-20-2006 07:59 AM

Hey, is PPOTM happening this month? Because if not, I thought it would be a fun idea to tax the Punk forum's idea and name the community thread after a recent album.

I'm so jealous. :(
And apparently The Beastie Boys played a secret show too. That would have been a really fun show.

Dead Star 03-20-2006 11:36 AM

I'm going to Laserquest tonight

Kif 03-20-2006 12:02 PM

I reviewed the new My Chemical Romance 3-disc package (You can obviously see the link in the forum page).

Firecracker 03-20-2006 01:03 PM

That would have been so super cool i would have DIED.

I could always not run it... <_<

Or we could do that anyways and just make the reward the avatar...whatevs

Kif 03-20-2006 01:26 PM

Big avatars aren't even that cool to have anymore though. So many people have them now. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for mine after I lost it twice, but still.

Permanent Solution 03-20-2006 01:28 PM

Eh, it seems more disproportionate than it really is because the people most likely to have them just happen to be the most frequent posters heh.

PS get an account merge nub, I passed you in postcount :p

Kif 03-20-2006 01:31 PM

I asked already. I should speak to Jim on AIM if he's on.

I don't really care about my post count much now. I care more about my reviews all being under one name, since that's all that matters to my Kif name really.

Permanent Solution 03-20-2006 01:34 PM

I've only written 3 reviews...i'm lazy :-\

Kif 03-20-2006 01:35 PM

I'm seriously gonna talk with my friend about a road trip to SXSW next year. I think that would be freaking awesome. Probably cost quite a bit since I live in England, but I could save up.

Kif 03-20-2006 01:39 PM

Oh yeah, when my laptop comes, I have basically some stuff I want to do.

First things first is record the EP. I'm gonna record a 4-track EP and host it on Myspace since I'm cheap and won't pay for hosting for people to leech off. I had plans to release it on CD with 2 extra tracks and an introduction track as well, but I don't know yet.

Also, I'm gonna cover a few of the new Brand New demos which should be fun. I'll probably do them all acoustic since it's just easier.

Firecracker 03-20-2006 01:40 PM

When i have time to listen to Jordan Rudess - Rhythm Of Time properly, i'm gonna review that.
The only thing, though, i wouldn't have a clue how to start.

KIF: Is that your stuff you're recording?

I can only play 1,2,3 and 4. Not attempted any of the others yet.
I love playing the first and third ones, especially with the lyrics of the first.

Tjebby 03-20-2006 01:51 PM

I need a 100 goals for some huge autobiography project. I only have 70... :-/

Kif 03-20-2006 01:59 PM

Yes, it will be my own stuff, and those are the ones I can play too. I want to learn 5 though, I think that's the one with the "Nobody move, nobody gets hurt" line.

chumpradio 03-20-2006 02:12 PM

Yeah, it's rumoured title is Cleanser.
That's one of my favourites, at points in the song, Jesse almost sounds like Matthew Bellamy, in my opinion.
All of the demos are actually amazing come to think of it. I started off only liking a couple, but now I really love them all.
