Oh also, I wrote all of riff 2 and potential, and my rythym guitarist wrote all of 66 except for most of the solo and all the bass.

What he said. Awesome stuff dude, you should put up the acutal songs sometime. :thumb: |
I just listened to Downfall and I think it's been underrated for most people. It's an amazing song and just as good as Follow The Reaper and Children of Decandence.
|
Yes I love Downfall, it is a great song.

It is an awesome song. I didn't listen to the whole thing the minute I got Hatebreeder; I was too preoccupied with Bed of Razors. I love it now though. :thumb: |

Downfall is a great song, but Children of Decadence is almost CoB's best song IMO. |

I like COD but in terms of skill I'd go with Kissing the Shadows, as most people would. For keyboard I love the beginning of Black Widow, with the Japanese instruments playing through the keyboard. |
^^^
For keyboards I would go with Bed of Razors. You have to love that intro. |
anyone listen to my songs yet?
anyone listen to my songs yet?
any criticism? which one did you like best?
|
I was just at camp for three weeks and hung out with a guy who loved Children of Bodom. I'd never heard them before, and they sounded awesome. IDK what album it was, I just remember one of the songs on it was Midnight in Bodom or something like that. I honestly know almost nothing about them, but they sounded awesome. This is coming form someone who doesn't even listen to much heavy metal. He was telling me how their bassist plays an 8-string and almost makes you dizzy when you watch him, and I remember in one of their songs the keyboardist, guitarist, and bassist were all playing really ****ing fast all together at the same speed. They sounded crazy. Sorry if I sound like a noob, when I saw this thread I just thought of that...

I liked them all. There are other people in the room now, so when I have a chance to play it loud and listen to it a few times, I'll get back to you. Night, boys. |
He plays a 5 string bass lol, and you can barely ever hear him. You were listening to the song Bodom After Midnight on the album Follow the Reaper. Go download some songs!

if anyone hasnt checked out my bands guitar pros yet give them a listen
|
Me likes. I just realized that when i get an actual band going, my songs will be a lot better.
Yeah you remind me of Iron Maiden. |
This is just something that's been weighing on my mind lately...
Does anyone else think Alexi's ESPs suck? His old Jacksons were were very nice with gold-plated hardware and other wonderful features. His new guitars I think look...not so good. They also only have a single passive EMG in the bridge position (God forbid he should play clean once in a while). His ESP signature series, as much as I'd hate to admit it, looks like a total ripoff. $3,000-4000? What the hell? By looking at the specs I can tell that my Jackson DKMG is as good if not better than the axe he plays now. Anyone else feel this way? /rant |
They are much better than they seem. I've played one and it's pretty good. Still though, the name costs about $2,000, haha.

You can get the same amount of guitar without the Laiho name for a quarter of the price. |

people blow so much $$ on signature axes by their favourite players. All you need is the right humbuckers and put them into any decent guitar body and you have their sound. One of my strats has the exact hardware as Petrucci uses and sounds wonderful, do you think i blew a few thousand for an ernie ball custom shop guitar? hell no. |
ive got the follow the reaper album, children of decadence lead is excellent :thumb:

Les Pauls are so expensive to begin with that the only difference is the bullseye and the signature pickups. |
