i think this is a little taste of what keasbey nights (2?) is going to be like thats day in day out (many shouold recognize it from KN) with another song tagged at the beginning all tagged into one big song im thinking this is probably what they're gonna do with the rest of the songs |
the song at the start is a new streetlight song that will probably be on the next album of original songs.
|
Just bought Keasbey Nights, and I am blown over. Wow.

Yeah that album is amazing. Especially if you've heard other Catch 22 first. Then you're already knowing it's a good band then BAM!, they get even better. |
Dang, in that case I've done it the wrong way round.
The chorus on the title song of keasbey has some of the most addictive lyrics I've ever heard! Were these guys sent by god? |
Well have you heard Streetlight?
The rest of Catch 22 will probably dissapoint. That's what happened to me. It's still good, but not as good. |

or you go "how did they go from THIS to...that?" and get the answer "Tomas left" whether you've heard EGN before or not, KN is amazing |

i doubt it i dont think tomas has the attention span to write new songs, using them in tours, and tagging them with KN songs at the end and then not using them in the remaking of KN and instead waiting for another 1 or 2 years to release them in another CD. |

The very first time I listened to Keasbey Nights (the album) (by recommendation of amazon.com) I was blown away. I listened to it multiple times in a row. It's rare to find an album I know I'm reeeeally going to love, just by the first listen, but that was one of them. |

If you're ordering Catch 22, get Alone in a Crowd. It's the least disappointing of their other albums.
And if you're looking at SM, it's not like you have a choice which one to order. |
But he will have a choice on MARCH 7TH, 2006!
|
I was blown away the first time I listened to Keasbey Nights back in like 2000, and still am everytime I listen to it.
|
WOW, I would have loved to have known the cd for so long time. I bought it last year.
Didn't you have like huge expectations when you heard about streetlight? |
Nobody answered my question how they got the name Streetlight Manifesto :-(
Ok, here's another question... In the lyrics of "Here's to Life", Tomas says (if I hear him correctly) Hey there Salinger what did you do Just as the world was looking at you To write anything that meant anything You told us you were through And it's been years since you passed away But I see no plaque and I see no grave I can't help believing You wanted it that way. Okay, so my question is, why does Tomas say this when Salinger is very much alive, but just reclusive as hell? Is he speaking figuratively, is he misinformed, or is he speaking for the future? I don't really expect an answer from this, just your interpretation I guess |
I think he means he passed away from the public eye. Look at the next lines about seeing no grave or plaque, showing that he probably really hasn't died, but to the public eye he has.
|
I'd agree with Nick.

Please check out my new website, it's got a few pictures of Streetlight from about 3 different times I saw them, plus some of other bands. |

agreed he's also "the hero of the story" (and a f'ucking awesome writer) |
doesnt streetlights keasby nights come out today?
|
It would if it was actually released on the date that Victory gave like a year ago. Read back a couple pages.
|
It'll never come out.
|
Not with an attitude like that! Turn that frown upside, Mister.
|

You almost got it. It should look something like this: :) It better be coming out on this announced date. |
It won't.
|
Quit being such a negative Nancy.
|
I'm being realistic. Tom is unreliable.
