I want that teacher, he seems like a cool guy.

Anyways, I read in the newest Revolver magazine that Slipknot is apparently coming out with a new DVD. Does anyone know anything about this at all? If so, spill the beans for me, I want to know all about it.
Yeah, its coming out this Summer. Its not gonna be a concert DVD, its gonna be more of a closer look at the band according to Shawn. Its coming out either late June or early July.

The JoZ 04-06-2005 10:26 PM

July 12th is when the new DVD comes out; or at least that's the date it's been rescheduled for.

As long as its more in detail about the band then 'welcome to our neighborhood'

The JoZ 04-07-2005 01:07 PM

I just want to hear Craig talk, if only one time
I just want to hear Craig talk, if only one time
he talks a little bit in Welcome to our Neighborhood. i think he just introduces himself as "#5 , 133 , samples" though. he kind of mumbles and talks really softly.

DforDrummer 04-07-2005 01:37 PM

Slipknot is the worst excuse for music since disco. This is not opinion, it's fact.

Its music... It has instruments mixed together with vocals and lyrics. Same with disco. People used to love it.
So basically its all about taste. You suck if you cant see this as the fact it truly is :)

Based on the Welcome to Our Neighborhood DVD? Or something else?

Mister_Che 04-07-2005 02:34 PM

**** Craig comes up with some sick samples. Is it safe to assume that He and Cid work closely together?

And I always see Cid as the litle brother of Clown (as seen on Disasterpieces). Any explanation as to their relationship? Just curious.

The JoZ 04-07-2005 02:38 PM

I'm not sure it's safe to assume anything with Craig.

I like his work on Volume 3 alot though.

exup 04-07-2005 03:00 PM

Check out the link in that post.

This may have already been posted in here, but its worth being posted again.

This version of the song is better, if not weirder, than the album version.

Opinions?

exup 04-07-2005 03:18 PM

I'm still confinced to less people know the slipknot-scream song
Really like it. got nice vocals, nice solo

Well the one guy said he was really quiet, so...

Any way someone could rip this and post it online?

The JoZ 04-07-2005 03:39 PM

I just heard the longer Danger, Keep Away...it's a real shame they didn't put that on the album, that was much better I think.

You know, I always thought that main line during the softer part was guitar, but there's almost a part of me now that thinks it could almost be bass...can anyone confirm either way who's playing that?

iloveronjons 04-07-2005 03:43 PM
Limewire is a file sharing program. In other words that guy can get Before I Forget on Limewire
I thought it was bass when I heard it, I'm not 100% sure though.

Well, when I first heard it, I thought it was clean guitar.

But after listening to Paul's bassline from "Confessions" off MFKR, I thought the main line in this song might be bass.

It just...sounds too warm and thick to be guitar to me...but it's not twangy or bassy enough to definetly be bass? I don't know.

Right now I'd say it's bass not guitar, because I've never heard a guitar sound like that, but yet have heard basses come pretty close.

maybe he doesnt use a pick for that song,, might explain why its not twangy, and more warm and thick

EDIT: you can go to http://www.slipknot-metal.com to find that clip from Welcome to our Neighborhood where Craig talks.
