Yea, frisbee rules. I've been playing everyday this summer, and every tuesday we have a game of Ultimate Frisbee. I will also be joining the Ultimate team at Michigan State

In summary, frisbee owns.
Frisbee does own. I'll leave it at that. I'm learning to drive too

Congratulations 06-24-2005 02:48 PM
so, I had my third driving lesson today :D

who else here is currently learning to drive?
I had to teach myself how to drive a standard. Does that count?

I remember playing ultimate with my friends. Some of them would take it too seriously and accuse me of cheating all the time. I didn't even know the rules at the time, and I was just out there having fun, but they would get pretty pissed when I would take 5 or so steps.
Cool, thanks guys :)

The reception is being held at the hotel my family is staying at (heh, how's that for luck) so hopefully if the reception gets boring I can jet back to the room or something.

It's just I've never been to a wedding and obviously the reception that's held afterwards.

And I hope the food is good, or I will be sorely disappointed.

If anyone has anything to add, I'd welcome any other comments.
Dont try to be too specific if you ordering your food cuz they wont care they will put loads of shite and a pile high.

I love driving. Three times in the last week I've had my ability to drive stick complimented. Granted it was all by girls who are just learning to drive it and since girls are bad drivers anyway, it counts for less but I still like being complimented on such a manly art.

Driving stick owns. Especially when driving a truck the size of a semi where you can't use the clutch to shift. Now that I know how to shift without using the clutch, I do it all the time with my daily driven truck.

/owns you all at stick driving

Dancin' Man 06-24-2005 03:51 PM

Without the clutch? What do you do? turn off the car everytime you need to shift?

Haha, it's true man, girls are bad drivers, mostly because the car does not belong in the kitchen, and therefore the woman does not belong in the car.
Without the clutch? What do you do? turn off the car everytime you need to shift?
It's called power shifting. If you toy around a bit and find the right RPM, you can shift between gears without clutching.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-24-2005 03:57 PM

It makes driving stick a lot less engaging.

 puuun

The sweet spot is usually at about 1500 RPM, but it would depend on the RPM range of your car. What are you driving Pedro?

It's quite easy to learn really. I did it on my own, pretty much by accident. :p

ArcLite 06-24-2005 04:03 PM

I have my 2004 Chevy Cavalier in 5-speed. Haven't tried the power shift with it yet though. But I love driving the ol' manual.

i passed my test a month ago :D i had about 30 hours of lessons before i took my test, i passed 1st time with 9 minors - 4 of them for steering! so maybe i don't deserve to be loose on the roads? i want one of those bumper stickers Riva came up with
there's a downside to being able to drive though - all my mates want lifts, and exactly how am i supposed to drive to Leeds, go and see 7 bands, and then drive home afterwards?!?

 so why is their insurance lower? do they just screw the people they crash into so they don't claim on the insurance?

Shred Danson 06-24-2005 04:17 PM

I had a golf cart that went 50 miles per hour.

It had air conditioning too.

'96 Subaru Legacy with no tachometer

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-24-2005 04:23 PM

Sackman- Very good point.

ICB- Had? Why'd you get rid of it? Why the hell would you need air conditioning when you could go 50 mph?

My truck doesn't have an AC, so I just drive fast with the windows down. Same effect.

AC just made it more badass, man!

Eh, it wasn't my choice to get rid of it, backe when I was in California, I visited my grandpa's place a lot, and he lived in a country club. He fixed the golf cart up pretty good, and I rode it all the time, and most of the time I drove it, I thought it would be a good idea to smash it into every lightpole I saw in the country club, sometimes goin' full speed (yeah I'm an idiot BUT IT'S FUNNNN REFL!). So after a while, the windshield fell off ( ) and the neighbors complained about the half broken light poles. My grandpa decided to sell the thing.

Ever since then I have wanted a golf cart, and I swear the next time I get one, I'm putting a fucking hemi in that sum'bitch.

Now Watching: King of The Hill.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-24-2005 04:36 PM

You would go..50 miles per hour haed on into a light pole?

Insane. I thought I was an idiot jumping off 2 story houses onto trampolines.

Hello there! Just got done with having friends over and hitting the pool, then coming back to watch Napoleon Dynamite. Yep. Pretty cool day. How's everyone doing?

Sup Leah. My day sucked because I just woke up at 3 PM.

Who the hell repped me and why?

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-24-2005 05:06 PM

Was it real big and orange?

If so, that was me. If not, then I can't help you out there. :)

TMS- Napolean Dynamite lol

One of the reasons I said that no one should talk to powerchord rock about me...I'm extremely easily amused. I love that movie. I've only seen it twice and can quote the whole thing.

Jakeo- Yeah, man. I wanted to put those 50 MPH's into good use  If you have a golf cart that goes 50, come on, man, you're gonna want to have some fun with that.

Hey Leah. Napolean Dynamite? Meh. I give it 2 1/2 stars out of 10. A family friend has a cousin, I believe, who played Uncle Rico in that movie.

Still watching King of The Hill. God, that show is the embodiement of LIFE.
