the most exciting thing i did today was go and see my friend at his work (its a block and a half away) and get some free food

Central Canada bordering on Eastern Canada has the same time-zone as the eastern seaboard, yeah. But the Maritimes dont, nor do the mountains or the western portion of the country.

imdb says Requiem is worse than the first.

Requiem is a little better I think, but that's not saying much. It's very short which is a good thing.

You actually have to be trying to make it bad when it's just that crappy. Especially when it has 2 of the most badass sci-fi creations ever in it.
