I just had to get a ride home from a friend of mine and the girls in her car were seriously the stupidest people I've ever had to listen to. If you can imagine the stereotypical "he said she said omg dat bitch" stuff, this was it, except especially loud. It was awful.

just came back from seeing Broken Social Scene.

Insane show, one for the f'uckin' books. They played at the Uni bar @ Sydney Uni, the only show on the tour with Feist as well, who by the way, sounds even better live than on record. Drew was off his face from the beginning of the show, stumbling onto stage in a drunken daze and going off on random ramblings, but he was loving every moment of it. Played pretty much stuff from s/t and You Forgot it In People, nothing from Spirit If and the entire band kept switching instruments, even Drew got on the drums at one point. One of the guitar players was from Do Make Say Think as well.

The band went 45 minutes overtime, thanks to Drew, the entire band left after the encore, and he just stayed there talking going 'well... the shows over... and i'm still here'.... he looks over to the manager fellow whos backstage and shaking his hand like 'that's it, get off now', so he walks over and picks up a guitar and starts singing anyway. Two of the other band fellas come on and they start jamming though an extended acoustic version of It's All Gonna Break, and then the rest of band was like ah what the hell and came on and it was just f'ucking epic. They just sounded completely HUGE but intimate as well (small venue). Best gig of '08 so far.

Broken Social Scene are cool.
