Metalcore isn't all bad, there are some really great bands.

but the thing is, the shitty generic bands vastly outweigh the good bands. so some people just hear the generic stuff and say "metalcore is horrible".

I'm pretty sure the bad outweighs the good in any genre.

not at all. unless ur referring solely to the vocals because rody's voice isnt the best. but they're bassist is great. so is their lead guitar.

i wouldnt call protest the hero metalcore. more like hair metal with breakdowns

kezia doesnt fit my description as well as fortress does but eh. dont let your love blind you to the fact they so obviously sound like 80s hair metal (ala iron maiden and dokken)

I guess. i dont really like fortress though. Kezia rapes Fortress in my opinion so i guess that's why. The melodic guitar parts, breakdowns, etc. dont seem to me as the hair metal type.

they call PtH metalcore for a lack of a better genre. Mathcore would be a better subgenre, but even then it fails to describe PtH. I respect PtH for their obvious talent and unique sound, i just dont like them at all.
