That would suck, so much. What type of snare did you buy?

mysticalyeti 12-04-2005 01:55 AM

An old Mapex, it's aluminum. I wasn't able to find anything out about them (discontinued), but I got it for 100 bucks. I was looking into an ultracast, so I guess this is a pretty good deal. It's got some wear and needs a new batter, but woo at the price.

Auction link, if it feels like working (ebay can be weird about linking :/)

Awsome man. BP snare are sweet, and I bet a vintage one is even better. Nice buy!

Man, can't wait for Christmas, so much damn new gear.

On another note, guess what finally came in to the local store? That's right, my 22" A Ping. Yes, yes :). I gotta pick that bitch up right away.

Omfg I just played my 3rd concert, and it was sooo awesome. It was in the grand hall in The Sage, Gateshead.

rockindrummer 12-04-2005 04:14 PM

Mine's the classic 8 ball, you see yours is just a 3 ball.

Trev 12-04-2005 04:18 PM

I just made an 8 ball avatar with a santa hat and flapping tongue, but ImageReady crashed and I lost it. :(

edit - On an unrelated note, I hear Remo Practice Pads make a bit of noise, are they too loud for say, practising in a room at uni? I'm going to make some DIY electronic drums for when I go.

Jezen 12-04-2005 04:27 PM

I'm making DIY e-drums for college. I'll use PVC piping, and mesh heads.

Sounds intriguing. What module are you thinking of getting? I think I'll probably get a DM5. After I've finished uni (heh, I won't even start uni for a couple of years), I'll incorporate it into my acoustic kit for effects and stuff.

rockindrummer 12-04-2005 04:49 PM

Patience I can achieve.

Jezen 12-04-2005 04:54 PM

I'm pretty intent on grabbing a DM4 or DM5.

Undisco Kidd 12-04-2005 04:57 PM

As much as I dislike electric kits (don't like the feel of them) I'll probably do teh same.

Der Meister 12-04-2005 04:58 PM

Jezen 12-04-2005 05:18 PM

Demonoid? I don't even know what it is...

EDIT - Oh right I know what it is. Nah I don't use it, as eMule does me fine.

Der Meister 12-04-2005 05:21 PM
