i tracked the first guitars today and i was like "uh, lets record it pretty slowly and then speed it up in post-production" and he was like " no way we cant do that", and i ended up recording it 20 bpm faster than originally planned (210 instead of 190) and lots faster than if we had gone with the record-slow-speed-up thing (in which case we probably wouldve recorded in like 140bpm and sped it up to 190. but i digest - point is, its mad sloppy but also mad fast so i am happy

I used to be all about WoC but it kinda bores me now, it's pretty repetitive

Meatplow 07-23-2008 10:24 PM

what is an example of some truly non-repetitive death metal?

Speed_Racer 07-23-2008 10:24 PM

Angmar 07-23-2008 10:25 PM
Winds of Creation is elite for sure bro.
That album is for sure. Beyond that some of their albums get a bit samey. Same with Aborted after Goremageddon.

masscows 07-24-2008 10:12 AM

Their albums after WoC sound like they had been listening to alot of Meshuggah or something

Dimmu Burger 07-24-2008 10:25 AM
That album is for sure. Beyond that some of their albums get a bit samey. Same with Aborted after Goremageddon.
yeah that's the only album of theirs that I listen to consistently.

beans 07-24-2008 10:50 AM

i love a methodical overture, but yes goremageddon is awesome

Shred Danson 07-24-2008 11:56 AM
i lol'd at the way this was pounded into the ground
What the hell are you doing in the death heads thread? Shouldn't you be standing in front of your mirror taking myspace pictures of yourself and editing them in Photoshop?

Very boring band after about 3 songs, and nothing overly brilliant.

Having said that, I enjoy spinning them once in a while.

LegionsofMarduk 07-24-2008 03:30 PM
yeah that's the only album of theirs that I listen to consistently.
