I think the RiR version is much better.

My top 5 at the moment:

Fear Of The Dark (RiR)
Face In The Sand
Moonchild
The Fallen Angel
Remember Tomorrow (does anyone have a bootleg of the Reading Festival performance of this?)
Really? I like the DOTR version alot better. I just love when he yells DORTMUND?

classicrockman 01-05-2006 09:35 PM

Whoops, missed the top 5 last page...

1. Phantom of the Opera
2. Killers
3. Hallowed Be Thy Name
4. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
5. Fear of the Dark

SilentBob 01-06-2006 12:11 AM

Kind of funny that none of those top five lists included The Number of the Beast even though it seems to be the most recognizable among those who don’t know who Maiden are

It's typical with most bands really.
I've only got BTP and ToS, TOS is best for me, since I'm a sucka for genius lyrics. Most of the choruses on BTP are just great...

Where is our John Wayne? Where is our Sacred Cowboy now?
Where is the Indian on the Hill? There's no Indians left to kill!
ToS for lyrics BTP for downrite catchiness

Nice new name young man.

Live Bruce?!
Oh my.

ashman 01-06-2006 10:49 AM

Apparently there's talk of a Tyranny of Souls tour, I would love to go if they do it.

Josh 01-06-2006 11:00 AM

i would go see him on a ToS tour, but how would he fit it in, with maiden recording and then touring? just tour between the album and the other tour? i suppose he's probably fit enough to do that.

ashman 01-06-2006 11:06 AM

It would be insane crazy, but hey, the mans a one man everything...

Lord Abortion 01-06-2006 02:27 PM

Bruce could do anything...It may just be a small tour, perhaps just festivals, or small dates.

Josh 01-06-2006 02:29 PM

yeh.

/prays for newcastle to be on the list.

I LOVE Iron Maiden.
A personal favorite.Steve Harris is a demon on bass and man dual lead guitars is always awesome.
Without a doubt iron maiden is pure awesomness.

Naw, you gotta carve Iron Maiden into your arm with a razor blade first.

EdwardTheGreat 01-07-2006 07:34 AM

Just read the review of the Death On The Road DVD by Classic Rock, they gave it 9/10, which is very rare, not many things get that high. Basically they said its awesome and 'it provides irrefutable proof that Maiden are the worlds greatest living metal band - bar none.'
