Ron Paul's racist controversy in and of itself doesn't really bother me, especially because it was so long ago and people can change, but his lame and predictable defence (for a politician), in stead of saying something like, "well yes, back then, I thought X and Y, but now I see my mistake and now I think A and B" is enough to tell me he's just like any other lying politician.

Yeah I will admit I prefer him over the other Republican candidates (not saying much) but he isn't the savior that so many people claim he is.
