My favorite Hot Cross is Fair Trades...
|
i liked the first half of cryonics. so that and fair trades together equals a satifying hot cross fix.

Straight up Anyone ever seen em live? I'm going to guess that their live show isn't as good now they lost one guitarist. |
ya, once in 04, and once a few months ago.
there isn't really a difference in the quality of their performance. why would there be? the difference is that they didn't play old stuff. they played 1 song off fair trades, and everything else was new stuff. |
the difference is that they didn't play old stuff. they played 1 song off fair trades, and everything else was new stuff.
Oh man that's pretty crap. I really like the new stuff anyway so i'm sure they'll be awesome when i see them. It's a tiny venue as well and everyone there is pretty local, so much fun. |
where are they playing in the uk?
|
I'm not sure yet by my mate told me they're playing Kingston in June. I'll try to find out for you.
|
Don't think they've announced the UK shows yet, the record store that organizes shows in kingston has them on their myspace as playing in june though and if they're playing a venue like the peel in outer london they'll be playing in cardiff or newport - i think you're welsh, right?
|
sure thing. would be ace if they could make it over this way. rarely get any emo bands over here, mostly hardcore bands. annihilation time around april i think is next on my calendar. im within 30 mins of newport, cardiff and bristol really, so fingers crossed.
|
W00t, going to check out La Quiete tonight, they're playing in my town :0
Ex-shikari will be there too. |
lucky git. id love to see la quiete.

Oh nice that's a pretty good location. I live right near london so i have about 4 venues about an hour away that play hardcore shows so i'm set really. Next for me is either comeback kid with the steal if i can be bothered to go which i probably won't or Go It Alone with Verse and Justice in April which i will not miss. |
twodeadslutsonegoodfuck are really fucking weird. Pretty neat though.

No, but I'm gonna check that out right now. EDIT: I can't find their myspace...fuck. |
So All Our Tomorrows End Today has secured a spot in my top 10 cds of all time. Album is incredible.
|
that happened to me with city of bones by three mile pilot, but in the top 20 songs instead
|
Yesterday was awesome! Openers were Black Haven, they could make it big if they want to, and The Black Heart Rebellion which I didn't like. Then our heroes of La Quiete played. What can I say? Lots of crowdsurfing and stuff flying around :D Someone threw a cardboard robot-like head at the drummer, he put it on and played a whole song with it (he couldn't see a thing) :p
Here's the flyer : |

By far. Ampere is one of my favorite bands ever. Fucking love that album. My favorite is probably their split with Sinaloa, though. Wormwood, Radiation is just an amazing and epic song. |

I really don't like that one as much. Every song on AOTET is incredible, the ones on the split are good but just not as hard hitting as the ones on the full length. Like "Now We Rise And Are Everywhere," that song is amazing. |
telll meeee why are you like this
are you the same with anyone savve me from my sickness and tell me why you treat me like thiss |
I like Ampere alot. I taught myself to play one of their songs on the guitar, but I can't remember what song it is.

Cool. I don't think i'll see CBK i don't really listen to them much and i've seen the Steal a lot already. Go It Alone and Verse will be really good i love both of them. I'll probably try to see Annihilation Time as well. II is such a great album. |

he shooots he scoreees. |
I have figured out the way to Matt's heart. Mention early 90's emo bands (more points for Ebullition bands).
|
Got my Pig Destroyer / Isis split yesterday, so stoked because I only need their demo and the split cd with Gnob and I will have all their releases. Oh and a comp called Double Accidental Homicide. I'm thinking the cd will be much easier to track down then the tape... anyone on here have it by chance?

Pretty much. ROFL at how peanut butter was invented by a black man, and during black history month theres a peanut-butter caused salmonella outbreak. How tight is my new avatar, forreal forreal. |
